This guy needs more love in this forum. Japanese slapstick comedian (I think -- I don't speak Japanese). First caught some of his skits on old Hurley Coward and WAMTEC cliptapes. He has a number of skits where cute Japanese women get pied. I always thought some of his skits would be great for producers to follow. I think Lenny actually did his "pie telephone line" skit. Anyway, would love to know if there is a collection of his slapstick skits on Youtube or elsewhere. yup...this guy (and his skits) were great discoveries going back a decade or so, at least (courtesy of CH's clip tapes,originally)...I think the title of his show translated as "strange middle-age man"....which was accurate enough....seems like nearly all his stuff involved wet or messy slapstick and really cute girls....mostly "fun"-oriented but with a bit of naughtiness (pieing of crotch areas, male and female)...kind of the Soupy Sales of Japan, only more focused on females than males.
I personally loved the guy -and- gal- at- a -bar pie skits (if anyone want to re-post those).
He's a legend. Hugely prolific, but it seems hit-or-miss what you can dig up online. The humor is usually strange (also may be the language barrier), but sometimes the clips are pretty funny (even the clean ones).

The guy and girl at a bar skits are great-- don't have a link to one unfortunately. Description: escalating slapstick scene where the guy and girl "attack" each other through the bartender-- e.g., girl whispers to the bartender and the bartender goes down to the end of the bar, where the guy is is sitting, and throws a pie in his face; guy, in turn whispers to the bartender, etc..... Again, would make a great skit for a producer.
Wouldn't you know it -- the old scene (in its long form) was listed right there at the end menu on the first video....it's the complete scene (there were at least three such scenes in total) which puts the short clip into better perspective, and has water throwing/drenching as well as pie throwing (only one really good thrown pie at the woman but worth it);
I have mentioned on a few occasions that the WAMTEC Megastore has uploaded several cliptapes (including lots of Hurley's cliptapes) so you can just download these onto your laptops, discs, or flashdrives and finally throw out those VHS tapes, not to mention your player.
