Yep, for the first time, our "Just The Hits" compilation series is featuring one of the ORIGINAL SlapstickStuff models!

I've made no secret about how crucial Deana was to the early days of SlapstickStuff: She was basically our first "go-to" model, appearing in four of our first 30 volumes... including the first two-girl shoot (SS14), the first all-outdoors shoot (SS25), and our first attempt at a full-blown short film (SS30). She recruited four other models (all blondes). Aaaand... Pretty adorable too.

I'm not sure how much real "need" there is for a Deana compilation in 2015, as (this is TRUE) the 2nd & 3rd biggest selling clips in my catalog BOTH come from her stuff. (SS14S1 and SS25S1!) So a LOT of people own her clips already. But if you don't... These two are a great place to start! "Just The Hits" features all the pie hits (close to 150 in all) and "Slime Time" has all the slimings.

Awesome, she was great. What is she up to now. Actually that would be a great segment. A "where are they now" post for other models as well.

Awesome I always loved Deana's vids but I never got around to buying any. Next time I have some spare cash I know what I am doing.

this is great. i actually for some reason didn't buy them back in the day, so will buy now. she was so girl-who-you-went-to-school-with cute. the hair pulled back top hat and the outdoor referee stripey outfit ones are forever burned in the memory. classic hits/coverage.

this was "three apartments ago" for me, i was living in a studio (no bedroom) apt at the time, which probably accounts for the lack of disposable income to purchase at the time.

thank you for doing this, a wonderful walk down memory lane.

(and i second the above notion of a "Where are they now?" for all your ladies - those you're in touch with or not, etc. It's something i like hearing about w/Leah's Messygirls and i wouldn't mind for yours as well. Are you still in touch with Deana?)

We need more curly haired ladies taking pies and especially slime.

Am I the only wammer interested in producers' WORST sellers, so that, if I have no other criterion by which to make a choice, I prefer to support the worst selling videos?
I mean, after I've ranked videos by which ones physically appeal to me most, I'll go with the worst selling ones.
I'm just wondering if I'm the only one who thinks this way.

Haha... Thanks for all the Deana love! She was my first lesson in how "random" a model search is... I think she was only active on OneModelPlace (remember THAT?) for about 2 months total, which just happened to coincide with me contacting her. If I'd found her profile even 6 months later, she wouldn't have responded and we'd never shot. As it was, she basically stopped modeling but kept shooting with me for years.

What else... Deana was bad about confirming the date, and then I booked a different model through a booking agent, so I called to cancel her. She got RIGHT back to me, all apologetic, so I agreed to book her the next week. Then the "booking agent model" fell through... and that model? Shawna from SS116! (Long story, small world. Shawna remembered that era and basically told me that guy was NOT her agent. I have no idea what he was trying to pull. Yes it's a sleazy business.)

Where is Deana now? Well, she got married to a nice Greek boy with an impossible-to-pronounce name... And she just had her first kid! For all you "hope springs eternal" fans, I brought up the idea about her returning a couple years back but she wasn't super keen on the idea so we let it go. Probably better. Comeback albums are never as good as the original...

I am guessing you're joking, but hell, I'll take sales any way I can get them:

--SS144 S3 (AKA "Aaliyah wearing a lot of clothes")
--SS136 (AKA "Ebony Models Don't Sell, Exhibit C")
--all recent Shelly vids (SS140, 149, and I assume whatever else I release from her down the line)

Long-time SS fans know about the infamous non-seller Volume 12 where the model hated every minute of the shoot... But even so, SS12Scene1 has still (with the benefit of 10 years of sales) outsold the last five Shelly clips COMBINED.

She's greek herself, right? i seem to remember that being a thing.

We used to joke about the Big Fat Greek Wedding movie being her life. This was back in 2005 of course.

Not sure this thread was the reason, but someone just bought all the SS136 clips, so... YES!

Slightly more seriously, the Shelly clips are all really good (and cheap) if you do wanna "help them out." I've made peace with the fact that her stuff just doesn't sell like everything else.

Over the years, there's been quite a few scenes I thought were solid that just didn't connect with the masses. Even with Deana... I'm still a big fan of the SS11 top hat skit. Great SC pies and self-pies. But that's her lowest seller. Huh.

Since we're talking about Deana, can you explain what the hell was going on with SS25's Hypno TV? I was just looking thru those bestsellers you mentioned and.... wow.

But yeah, Deana was an awesome model. She had that easygoing "girl next door" charm and looks. I own a bunch of her scenes, but will probably look into this Greatest Hits collection. And Hypno TV, of course.

HA! My memory's fuzzy, but I think this was a script sent in by a customer... They purchased the outfit in exchange for getting the scene filmed. (This was before I realized this was called a "custom" and other producers CHARGED people for the privilege of shooting their dream scripts.)

The problem was, we shot outside... And it started drizzling... And then raining... And then REALLY raining. Like, you can SEE the rain coming down in the shot at the end. So the ending was a bit "haphazard" (I basically just started chucking all the pies at her) and as soon as I turned the cameras off, she was running for her apartment.

I nearly lost one of the cameras (and all that footage) due to water getting inside. Fortunately, everything worked again once it dried. If you're wondering why I occasionally had technical glitches.....

I've already got all of Deanna's videos. Just wanted to say I'd have to pick her as my favorite model you've ever used. Something very magnetic about her personality. That is all.

In fairness, I think we were speeding up in the rain because of ME. Like, I had trash bags over the cameras, but it wasn't helping.
