A couple of never before seen pics of Ms. Dreyfus getting pied in the face on Saturday Night Live. It's from the Calvin Klein Cream Pies commercial spoof. The pics are from 1983. I know this was the second time she was pied doing this bit. Actually, they did this routine on back to back weekends in Oct. 1983. The first time they did this skit was in the middle of the show. Julia was imitating Brooke Shields, and she got one pie in the face. The following weekend, they opened the show with this sketch as well, where Julia was imitating Andie McDowell. After she gets the first pie in the face, she says "Live from NY..." and before she could finish, she gets another pie in the face. Announcer Don Pardo completes the opening with,..."it's Saturday night".
If you do a Google search and type in Calvin Klein Cream Pies, you can find both clips. Julia was only 22 at the time. Hard to believe it's been over 30 years.
