This is pretty big news, even if the scene isn't great, based on the name value.
I always thought people who are into celebrity scenes must like the fact that, in a way, they feel like they know the celebrity. Not personally, but a celebrity is someone you know a handful of things about based on seeing them several times, so it makes the scene more interesting.
It can't just be based on the attractiveness of the person - because with most celebs, you could easily find tons of regular people scenes where the regular people are just as pretty. Maybe there's a few exceptions - like, maybe you think Beyonce or Kate Upton is in a stratosphere where it would be tough to find regular people as pretty - but not for most celebs.
p.s. I'd like to be the first to say that Jennifer Garner has now officially been involved in more than one bona fide wam scene (the Jimmy Fallon pie catapult scene), so that of course means that she has a wam fetish.
double p.s. What is it about women of Jennifer Garner's age being the people that you often see in these kinds of scenes? I feel like this is a common script - actress who did lots of stuff in her 20s and early 30s never had a good scene....but then she became a middle-aged actress and, boom, it happens. It's like they wait to get to "Mom Age" before they do these things. Is it just me on that one?

I'd always had a crush on Jennifer, love her in Alias and Daredevil. And while she's not in her prime, she's really cute at 46 years old. Maybe because I'm almost 40 now lol but women in her 40s and 50s are much more cute these days than 20 years ago. And it's somehow truth that it's more common to see beautiful actresses doing some slapstick-messy stuff in their 40s or 50s than in their 30s. But that's still nice.
Yeah, I mean, it's not true across the board. Hey, Alyssa Milano was still doing Charmed when she had her scene. But, it seems like with big names you either get the scene when they're doing a Disney show at age 13 or when they pull into Mom Station at age 45 - nothing in between.
No knock on Jennifer Garner - I remember her way before she was famous when she guest starred on the WB show Felicity! (what's the WB, amirite guys?).
Cicada, I can see your point, as Faye Dunaway (I'd have done anything to have seen her pied during her Bonnie and Clyde days), and Glenn Close quickly come to mind as examples. I guess even Cybil Shepard and Morgan Fairchild would also qualify. Jennifer Garner can take as many pies and cakes as she is willing, but please, no goggles.
I HIGHLY recommend watching the original British series this is based on, by Julia Davis. I can't remember if there is any messy stuff in it, but it is one of the best dark comedy shows of the past few years. This remake won't hold a tea light to it.
