I've been thinking recently that a scene of someone getting into wet in one of those bodycon maxi slip dresses (like the skims dresses) could do really well on this site. But it's also like- those dresses are already pretty clingy- so realistically, how much clingier could they get?

I'm not sure anything can be too clingy, but that's just me.
I just purchased a super slinky, tight fitted dress similar to what your talking about but it's knee length and a little bit more casual. I'm hoping it turns at least 50% transparent and shows all those lovely little contours and details of a woman's body. We'll see how it goes.
