As winter approaches, does it ever get too cold for indoor WAM? When's the comfortable cut off?
Many of my favorite producers (amateur and pro) have to juggle family with shooting, so it seemed like a relevant question: What's the best season for WAM?
I'm not a producer myself but I feel like indoor filming depends on personal preference. I've talked with one who takes a break for the winter, but there are probably others who do stuff year- round.
With Autumn, a lot depends on how far north you are. Up here in Langstonedale, in the wilds of North Yorkshire, outdoor shooting ends as soon as the temperature goes below 21 degrees (69F), which most years means the end of August is the hard cut-off for Mud Season.
Last weekend Miss Abigail and I went out thinking to do some final wetlook scenes, but as soon as we stepped out of the Hall we realised the forecast had missed, it was way colder than expected and too cold to be going in the river. So we shot seven wetlook scenes in six hours in the dungeon instead, with nice warm water and 2kW of heat going.

An easy answer would be every season but I particularly love the smell of autumn
