For everyone who is willing to be pied, is there a Dom-sub dynamic?

It certainly can be an act of submission, but there doesn't need to be a power exchange involved. Nor does it need to be considered humiliation or punishment. It's whatever you want it to be, really.

In a way, it probably is, as the other replies -- however hesitant -- suggesting a link with punishment and humiliation would appear to confirm.

In the case of my wife and me, it's certainly not submissive. I'm not allowed to pie her face, because of certain sensitivity she has. However, whether she's sitting in the pie, taking one to the tits or something else, she's in complete control. She controls the pace, how many hip dips it takes to fully crush a pie for example. It's all about making her as safe and comfortable with wam as I can.

I wouldn't say inherently cos there's lots of ways being pied can be reacted to/portrayed. Im sure theres some crossover but not personally for me, more about fun-ness kinda vibe.
