The situation involves a gameshow, reality TV show, or similar event. In the opening segment, contestants are asked to look into the camera and introduce themselves briefly to viewers. A key detail is revealed at the last moment: A pie will be thrown in each contestant's face immediately following the introduction.
Some people would be able to hold it together, while others would probably start laughing in anticipation. It would be fun to see how different people would react. And it would be mildly torturous to have to do something like this with a rival contestant aiming a pie at your face.
"Hi, I'm Olivia. I'm a graphic designer from Charlotte, North Carolina. In my free time I enjoy cooking, traveling, running, and playing the cello..."
Splat.
The contestant's moment to shine is rudely cut off with a pie in the face.
I remember hearing about a community theater group where the actors and stage hands played practical jokes on one another during the final performance. One year, a pie was thrown during the show. I can imagine that it could be a real turn on to deliver your lines while knowing that, at some point in the performance, something like that was coming.
I would love to hear other pie scenarios that you would like to see.
