The poll results are in the Trials of Disgust wins our second reveal by a large margin
The Trials of Disgust
The Trials of Disgust contains two games for players to choose from. Both involve something genuinely unpleasant. Both will test your tolerance for things that most people would rather keep well away from them. The difference is in what exactly that unpleasant thing is.
Game One - Pie Detector - Mild
Each round a single gross pie is hidden beneath one of the serving trays while one player looks away. The player who hid the pie then chooses: Share the prize money for this round or Steal it.
Share, and they select which tray each player takes - unless their opponent dares to call Swap.
Steal, and the opponent must choose blindly between the trays.
Either way only one player ends the round clean. The other gets something gross in their face. Mushy peas. Cauliflower cheese. Egg mayo. Tuna and mayo. Wet dog food. All hiding innocently beneath perfectly normal whipped cream.
Five rounds. One gross pie per round. Trust your opponent - or call their bluff.
Game Two - Flushin' Roulette - Extreme
A head-to-head quiz played beneath a tank of the foulest slime in The Gunger Games. Lumpy. Warm. Sticky. Infused with bottles of Liquid Ass. The manufacturer describes the smell as being a combination of raw sewage and dead animal. Completely vile.
Twelve chains hang beside the tank. Only one releases the deluge. One contestant begins in the danger seat beneath the tank while their opponent stands beside the chains.
Every wrong answer lets the standing contestant pull a chain. Every correct answer swaps positions - and lets the answering contestant pull a chain on their opponent instead. Three wrong answers in a row forces an automatic swap.
The longer the game lasts the tighter the odds become. Sooner or later someone will still be sitting beneath the tank when the trigger chain is pulled.
Just don't get flushed.
Both games are chosen freely by contestants who know exactly what they're signing up for before filming begins. Everything you see is consensual and agreed in advance.
Now the question is - which are you hoping to see in Episode 1?
Pie Detector - bluffing and gross pies in every tray
Flushin' Roulette - quiz showdown beneath a tank of stink bomb slime
And while you're thinking about that - which trial do you want revealed next?
[POLL - Which set of messy games should I reveal next?]
A note on Fear because I've been asked about it in a DM - we know many producers claim their gunge is cold when it's really room temperature. For the Trials of Fear we keep our gunge in temperature-controlled boxes with ice packs to make it genuinely chilly. Think ice bucket challenge cold. The reactions you'll see are real.
Fear - nerve-wracking challenges under genuinely chilled gunge Envy - one player wins prizes while the other gets messy Anger - messy revenge moments and heated rivalry decisions Joy - silly games where gunging yourself wins you a share of the jackpot
Next Week's Vote
So I'm thinking of shaking up next week's vote but I'm going to throw it out to you lot to decide.
One of our Episode 1 games includes a costume round where the losing contestant ends up taking the messy finale in whatever outfit is chosen.
For the first episode the vote will be between these Princess and Maid costumes (each without their respective crowns or caps to not prevent the gunge from flowing) and would love to see whether the community has a strong preference.
This poll helps guide the final decision depending on availability, filming logistics and whether the costume sales last long enough for us to secure them.
Would you prefer to vote on which set of games will be revealed next or would you rather vote on these costumes? Let me know in the comments below whether you want to vote on more games or the costumes next week.
