This is a tough one as different aspects of each very appealing - I have always loved the audience set-up where the victim suddenly finds themselves led onto stage and like on this one that he doesn't know he'll be gunged until the famous little bell rings. THat being said the Ross gunging is a better one I think as the gunge itself gives more coverage and he also seems to get a great pre-soaking from the spray and there's something so awesome about a guy knowing he might be gunged and still choosing to wear a pristine white shirt, suit and tie - so all in all I think gunging 2
It's quite cruel really but I love the Martin gunging - unsuspecting victim, steady ramp-up of discomfort and then a gunging as the cherry on top, it's perfection. Really hot guy too.
I think I prefer the Ross King gunging because he gets a really thorough spraying through the brushes, I guess because they were already wet from Martin's turn! Also, I agree with the better coverage on this one.
People who get gunge on NHP ether in the gunge tank or the car wash even panel beaters or something else do people have there actually clothes on or they using clothes that show gave them? Also like after they get gunge do they go backstage to get clean up or does show give them like a towel to clean up with.
I always wondered this.I guess they were their own clothes and they were given clothes - maybe old clothes that were once drama costumes to go home in.
I guess you have to think how much is set up and whether audience members were plants or in on it. YouTube comments do suggest that they were genuine people (NHP army man for example].
Always loved this one as the victim looks genuinely shocked to be chosen, it's a classic revenge gunging for the jokes he plays on others and Noel mentions 'forget the fact you don't have a change of clothes with you'

Celebs were given clothes to wear in the tank. One presenter, Paul Coia, said he was given stained underwear, so he went commando under his clothes because he didn't fancy wearing it.
Both have quite poor coverage - it's hard for me to get my rocks off to the top of someone's head being gunged.
But the first one edges it, for the reasons outlined by others above - it's more humiliating, there's a better buildup and he's a sexier guy. That moustache!
As male carwash gungings go though, Nigel Mansell, Paul McKenna and Nicholas Parsons all beat these.

This is one of my all time favourites. The guy is cute and i love the whole set up of him going for a night out completely unaware and ending up gunged and humiliated. His face when he realises whats going to happen to him is brilliant. The gunge down the inside of his collar is great too.
