FTR I think Barb is the worst "snooty blonde" of all time. And I can't tell if she hates getting pied, or "ballooned," or just losing in general. Because when she DOES get pied, she doesn't really dodge it (except the one time when she completely nailed the guy instead), and she is hands-down the BEST "non wiper" on this whole show. And typically she keeps talking back, post-pie, still covered... Which, again, makes for fantastic footage... But also makes me think she's an extremely difficult person in real life. It probably explains why the producers (and guys) bend over backwards to make sure she wins 80% of the time, and why she tends to "pick her punishment" when no one else can.
Or I'm just making s**t up. But either way... Personality has a lot to do with how much I enjoy a pieing on this show, which makes it doubly weird how I look forward to Barb's more than anyone else. (Maybe because she seems to REALLY deserve it, every single week?)

Yeah, Barb as diva-queen seems reasonable to me as well (in a we don't speak the language and are assuming a lot based on a tv show kind of way). The "deserving it" aspect is one of the big keys for me, when I edit the eps down I actually like to see the whole sequence for each pair, so as long as the girl gets pied at some point, I like to include the footage where she (hopefully gleefully) pies the guy before/after, so the girls who love to dish it out tend to be some of my favorites. Out of curiosity, what girls on the show do you think actually get pied frequently? I can't think of anyone top of my head that you can actually count on to lose consistently.

A mistake CM has made is that they haven't developed the characters and they haven't developed adversarial relationships between the men and women to any significant degree. Viewers need to be able to identify with a character and sink their teeth into a storyline. Think soap operas. Think professional wrestling. (I'm not suggesting they script a fake storyline. That would kill the "reality" aspect of the show. I'm suggesting they allow camera time for the other models to step forward as they've allowed camera time for the twins).
Barbara is probably the only woman that the majority of the audience knows by name. This is because she's had uncontrollable outbursts of craziness. Perhaps Danielle too as she has a running feud with the twins which usually ends up with both of them slipping on the floor or fighting over a pie.
Likewise, all the men are replaceable except the idiot twins.
I don't think the young female audience digs the bearded musclemen models. Young females tend to prefer non-threatening, baby face thin boys like Justin Bieber.
It's much more compelling television when a character you're involved in is humiliated with a pie as compared to a personality-free model whose name you don't even know. Even if that model is exceptionally attractive.
When Barbara was penalized and received two pies that was the most compelling moment in the show. Every viewer who follows CM closely was waiting for her to be completely humiliated. Because we dislike her so much!! There's not much more satisfying in WAM than a "Bad Girl" being hit with a pie!!
In short, CM needs to hire more crazy female models with big mouths and give them camera time to create conflict with the men (and perhaps the other women!!).
