I'm curious on what is everyones top mainstream mud wrestling scene. Now I know I put Battling Beauties on there but felt it was worthy just because 1) Connie Fucking Sanchez!! and 2) It had great commercial success despite being privately produced

I think I hit the big known scenes but know there are countless others si let's hear it!

For me, I gotta hand it to Stripes and For all the Marbles. If not for those two, I wouldn't be here. For All The Marbles had some clever angles and shots while Stripes possibly has the most iconic mud wrestling scene that withstood the test of time.

I'm partial to the mud fight in the 1999 version of A Midsummer Night's Dream myself. It feels completely out of place in the film, but damned if it isn't hot.

Out of place? Is there ever a bad moment to place a good mud wrestling scene in a movie? LOL. Totally agree though. That scene was something special!

How is "...All the Marbles" not in 1st place!? Maybe because Stripes is more well known? Also the mud wrestling scenes from "The Stickup" and "Paper Marriage" would be my 2nd and 3rd picks easily. "Sledgehammer ", "CHIPS", and "Sherif Lobo" rank lower because they're far too short not to mention too many cutaways from the action. On a side note the setups for all 3 of the mud scenes I named would be EXCELLENT storylines for any WAM Wrestling producers to replicate *hint* *hint*
The scenario of a regular girl off the streets with absolutely no experience whatsoever volunteering to wrestle a pro or nightclub experienced mud/oil wrestler for a cash prize for whatever personal reasons, will always be my favorite women wrestling storyline. (Which was the scenarios in my 2nd and 3rd picks)

I have to go with Battling Beauties. My first time seeing it was actually in Pee Wee Herman's "Big Top Pee Wee". It's spliced in as part of a metaphor of Pee Wee getting laid in the film Stripes would be number 2 for me, just because the fem vs fem stuff is so trimmed down.

I would have easily gone with Battling Beauties but I feel that it's an unfair advantage because it was a full movie dedicated to female wrestling whereas the other choices were just scenes in random movies or TV shows. Also Cuthbert chooses Stripes over Marbles as well!? I would have bet the farm that Marbles would have been the obvious winner in this poll with Stripes at close second. Again Battling Beauties would be my choice for best WAM Wrestling movie on a list featuring strictly female wrestling films however... there is a VHS titled Fighting Foxes distributed by another company that's just two of the oil matches from Battling Beauties (matches 2 and 3) and 2 of the mud matches (1 and 3) UNCUT (none of the hard edits)! On a side note does anybody know where to find the full opening oil match from Battling Beauties (Hells little Angel vs Dolly Roger's) unedited? That match is so good but is HORRIBLY trimmed down/edited to just 4min on every copy I've seen.

I also go with midsummer nights dream. It's the gold standard.

I do remember a spectacular wet scene from a BBC production of A Midsummer Nights Dream" but that was from the 80s.

The mainstream mud wrestling scene I remember best is the one from MASH, mainly because Hotlips goes into the mud properly dressed, in real army combat trousers and a t-shirt, as opposed to some horrid skimpy thing.

I should probably shoot more girls in combat trousers mud scenes. Think we've only ever done two, one long ago with Nurse Wendy and one unreleased with Miss Abigail.

I voted For All the Marbles. It stands out the most to me and the cinematography done during that scene was splendid on a number of levels. The action was consistent and the energy was at the level I would expect out of a wrestling/catfight scene.

I'm not sure about why Stripes is higher rated over that scene except I do feel the mud used was thicker. One thing I will say about Marbles is they did a lot of cutscenes and I can tell they shot single camera for much of that scene which I feel could make it too "jumpy" for people's liking. The trick with Mainstream scenes is they typically shoot for the storyline and not the content within the scene. Stripes kinda kept the mood in that campy "a group of misfits doing what misfits do, watch mud wrestling" sphere. Also, I feel most in this community can relate to that scene the most as it was their generation of actors in it (ie Ozzy Black Sabbath vs Ronnie James Dio Black Sabbath)

So something, I been marinating on was a CRAZY idea of renting a bar space and doing a Hooters style set up, complete with actual patrons and shooting various scenes between female "patrons" and bar staff. The writing has already started and this is future stuff but the goal would be to make multiple cinematic scenes complete with an emcee. I have a few venues in mind. It's just selection of talent and execution at this rate

Battling Beauties was my first ever purchase of this nature. It came as a two set VHS "It's a Party" over at Coconuts which I snuck in and bought while my mom and younger brothers were out and about doing clothes shopping. I absolutely remember that scene as a kid!

Voted others.. the one scene that took me offguard when I was still very young was the mud wrestling scene in Dukes of Hazzard.. Daisy Duke wrestling that girl running away.. this was my first exposure and is the moment that switch was turned forever on.. Every time I was watching TV, I would secretly hope the cute girl from the show would end up in a fight in the mud.. then it happened while watching Dynasty.. confirmed many things for the young me at that time.

Also, we shouldn't forget Mugsy's Girls. I first saw it at 1AM on USA Up all Night with Rhonda Sheer... and after that I was on a quest. Still wish they didn't have so damn many crowd reaction shots (the editor was a just awful!)

Have you guys seen the mud wrestling scene in "Dogs of Hell" (aka "Rottweiler 3D")? I think they were going for a "Stripes" style scene that starts with women and becomes coed. Other than my mudmatches.com 3D content, it's the only stereoscopic scene I can think of. I found it on YouTube in 2D.

I would say Stripes mud wrestling scene is the best in my opinion. The ladies were very cute in that film, and when more ladies joined in the ring it got even hotter. If I was wrestling with a sexy women, I would probably give up the first round, but would not hold back on round two.

I voted for Stripes, however the best mud wrestling match I've ever seen on TV was about 20 years ago. Back then there was a show called The Man Show with Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Corolla ,and they had a bunch of beautiful female dancers that they referred to as the Juggies. Well one episode they had those beautiful ladies wrestling in mud, it only lasted about 3 minutes, but it was awesome.

The Pom Pom had posted this a bit ago on his Youtube channel before it got nuked. It's definitely a well done scene!

Mud wrestling is stripes. I remember seeing it as a kid and falling in love with the mud wrestlers.

I personally feel it's in part to both the level of commercial success Stripes got, it's exposure on TV as a direct result, and both movies were very much telling very different stories. Wrestling was the single scene in Stripes whereas Wrestling was the theme of the entire movie of Marbles so female wrestling fans are going to appreciate it more than the other. Take Stripes to a female or mixed wrestling forum and you will get quite the opposite reaction (except from those who remember and appreciate Sue Bowser) as we tend to measure messy wrestling with a much different stick.

Coverage is the other thing. They had issues shooting Marbles as they apparently had to do the scene twice so not sure if that had anything to do with the consistency of the mud being used.

Don't take this as gospel but I am pretty sure Rockin Roxanne is selling that very match on her web store. I have a couple of versions of that match and believe one of them came from her.

I've gotten a lot of excellent stuff from Roxanne over the years! I'm a big fan of the vintage stuff and her tape archive is deep. The only issue I have with her tape archive deals is that info on the tape are limited so your not sure exactly what you're getting unless you're already familiar with the title of the tape.

I got 2 silent 8mm/16mm mud wrestling vids from Rock'n Roxanne a few years back. Both are very interesting. One is 2 ladies who end up topless in 2 rounds of (almost paint consistency) mud wrestling (approx 13min long), both of them are very busty the other video is of 3 ladies sunbathing with silent movie style text inserts where the girls all end up mud wrestling in a garden near the patio... NUDE. Very hot. My guess is mid 70's production on both. Sadly the quality is only 320x240 and the transfers are not the best. But certainly gems for the dedicated collector.

I would put this over Stripes. The biggest issue I have with this scene is way too many cutaways To be honest the scene is longer than I remember it being and the action is REALLY good especially for TV. If Marbles is my #1 this is an extremely close second (as far as tv/movie mud wrestling scenes) Again I REALLY suggest you guys and girls check out the mud scenes from Paper Marriage and The Stickup you will not be disappointed.

For the connoisseur, Rockin Roxanne is the GOAT for the collectables of the era. She is even has a few of the rare Sweetheart Production releases that haven't been seen since the dawn of the internet.

I am pretty sure I have those as well and I loved both for their nostalgic qualities and appeal. I did think about running them through my Topaz Labs Video AI to brush up some of the artifacts but even through my machine, it takes a bit of time and I'm not exactly pressed to do it. Maybe if I have a day off to idle and I am not too busy with edits.
