I'm looking for a few targets to test out a some of my food-less pie and cake recipes.

I have an affinity for real bakery cream pies and gooey cakes. The problem though, is using real food is not only wasteful, but difficult to clean up.

I've already developed a realist faux-pie. It's a classic custard cream pie. It not only looks and feels like the real deal, but it gives that perfect weighted impact, nice coverage, and allows crust to stick well post-hit. Aside from the aesthetic of the pie and how it splats, it's easy to clean up with a roll of paper towels. (A public pieing dream!)

I know I can rework this recipe in a number of other ways to create other types of realistic pies. I want to test them out, and I would love some feedback on the types of other bakery-esque pies people crave taking to the face.

I'm currently working on a similar authentic cakes recipe or two, too. I think Steve Aoki throws my ideal type of cake, so I'm using that as my goal. That said, I need to test it out on some cute mugs!

I'll be traveling I-80 March 13th through the 14th and possibly the 15th. I will definitely be staying at a hotel in Chicago and could host Saturday the 14th. Otherwise, if anyone lives near the interstate, I could pop by and deliver a pie/cake or two.

I might need help gathering supplies, but I can also give a pre-pieing cooking lesson.

Also, any help on what is people's dream pie or cake would be very helpful in my recipe tests!

Females are fine, but based on the latest schedule information I have, he will arrive Friday night. The pie activity is Saturday morning, and he will be off immediately to Denver after tossing the pies Saturday morning.

We could plan something separate for Sunday potentially, but Mr. Smith will be gone by then. Any chance you have availability for Sat morning?

I'm not open at all on Saturday. No problem just thought I'd ask.

Hey men! MessyClothes has been so sweet to offer up a venue for anyone who's interested next Saturday. I'll be testing out my new pie recipes, so the more feedback the better. This event is abridged because Mr. Smith needs to get on the road to Denver, and I need to be in Peoria late afternoon.
