I thought I would open a thread for all the videos on Youtube, Tiktok, Instagram or whatever else we can think of where a mascot (basketball, football,...) pies or cakes people in the face.

Do think those people knew they would be hit? That guy in the grocery store didn't IMO.
They all did.
1. Not one of them gave a second glance to a huge mascot character walking toward them?
2. Most of the ones who were looking away turned their heads just in time to get pied.
3. None of them angrily go after the mascot (see the Brazilian show where the clown pies people in malls for what *really* happens when you pie unsuspecting people).
4. Lawyers. While it might seem petty to pursue, under the laws in the U.S. each of those people would be within their rights to bring assault charges against the mascot. Not to mention, since the videos were uploaded to a website where the public can view them, they might also have a case for a civil lawsuit claiming public humiliation, etc.
My favorite mascot of all time is still Clutch The Bear. That guy would literally clobber people with an entire sheet cake. He was the Steve Aoki of mascots.
For a while he was dating/married to a really cute brunette, who was often the "ringer" in his skits.... meaning she took more than her fair share of cakes. Unfortunately, they never seemed to upload any of her videos, though a few pics leaked out here and there.
