I'm not sure if anyone else cares about aesthetics, but I really like the "look" of the slime and mess on the gold suit. It basically turns her body into a canvas. Modern art! (Or not.) So this scene was filmed last year, and wound up being a positive ending to (probably) the WORST shoot I've ever had. And it wasn't a problem with the model, since it was Ginger, who was being fun and crazy as always. We shot one scene (which appears as SS134) and then she comes downstairs in some sexy lingerie for Scene 2, basically to shoot the breeze with me. (I'm still getting ready with the pies and stuff.)
I'm at the kitchen counter, she's behind me, and suddenly I hear a "THUD." I turn around and she'd slipped (in bare feet no less), fallen HARD on the tile, and cut her chin open. Lots of blood. She's freaking out, I'm trying to calm her down, and--long story short--she heads to the hospital to get stitches, and the shoot is over. After one scene.
Once I got over the shock of how quickly things had gone sideways, I realized I still had a LOT of slime left... and some baked crusts... which would all go to waste unless I could salvage something. And this is why Shelly is my #1 model. I called her and she came straight from class that night to shoot... We did the scene that you see now (I'd planned to do it with Ginger and the script was already there), it turned out great, Shelly got a bit of extra cash, and my ass was saved!
No hard feelings with Ginger, obviously, as we just recently shot SS138. In fact, me telling her "Just don't fall down!" has become our running joke...
