So I had a couple of rude encounters with 2 members here and I feel the need to explain to everyone about the polite way to interact with models. You are not entitled to mine or anyone else's time on this website. I will answer my messages and my emails when I have the time to. I work 2 jobs, and on top of that, life happens and you have more than just work to deal with. You have no clue what is going on in a person's life, I could be out of town grieving the loss of a loved one with my family so I'm obviously not available to help you fap. So the polite thing to do is to ask if a person has time to get horny with you. We're not robots here, so please have some compassion.
This person was not only rude to me, but he felt the need put down another model here that I'm friends with just because she requires that you pay to chat with her. So let me explain it to you. Precisely. He felt he was "owed" your time and that's just the sort of crap that doesn't fly in my book. The transaction ended the minute he got his clip or scenes. He's not owed anything else beyond that and anything provided after the fact is simple kindness or pleasant interaction with fans. It's a privilege. We've got Creamy's story above, which is surely not the only incident, and then I've personally seen threads completely hijacked by people with an axe to grind with MM about what is/isn't allowed to be posted here.
I've also seen threads hijacked by sidebar conversations troubleshooting site issues that go something like this:
Random Poster: "I bought a scene from [producer] but I can't access it."
Someone else, often a mod: "Ok, message MM and he'll take care of it."
Random Poster: "Well why can't I access my scene."
MM appears: "Dunno, but if you message us the details and specifics we'll fix it."
Random Poster: "I'm pretty irritated I can't access my content."
MM: "Yep, it sounds frustrating, but we're happy to address your concerns, just message us the specifics and we'll look into it right away."
Random Poster: "Wouldn't you be irritated too if you paid good money for something and couldn't use it?"
MM: "Yes, that sounds irritating, but really, we can't fix this problem unless you message us the specific details, which it seems like you have not yet done."
Random Poster: "Why has no one fixed my problem yet?"
MM: "Are...are you serious?"
It's not just me, right? It seems like what Creamy is dealing with here is part of a rash of trolls and...buffoons?...and at the risk of overstating the obvious, it's killing the vibe and not great for the community members.

And his big complaint is about buying subscriptions here on this site to get access to videos in my store. So let me break this down for you.
I spend my own money to make scenes. I want to make good quality scenes with good quality equipment. I want to hire other models to create good scenes. I live in a state where these things cost way more money. I need to make a certain amount from the scenes I produce so that I can make a profit. And at the most successful, I'm not even gaining income, I'm breaking even. So I'm only making enough money from one scene to make the next scene. So if you want me to make more scenes that you enjoy, I will need to price my scenes based on how much I made it for and how much I need to make from it in order to keep business going.

I am really sorry to hear about this. I completely agree. Models should be treated with 100% respect at all times! It saddens me to hear this because unfortunately there are a few bad apples out there that will try to bring people down to make them feel bigger. However, they don't have the type of influence they have by discouraging others.

Facts!
Part of me wants to say it is entitlement while the other wants to point the finger to with how the ease of access of content has made some people, by and large, spoiled. In any event; generational, cultural, and policy differences are going to continue being a friction point as long as time moves forward.
We are coming into the generation that will never know the pains (or they just forgotten) of scouring Geocities and Yahoo Groups for 30-60 second mainstream clips on dial up or the scarcity of a handful of trailblazers who would pioneer the first WAM-centric clip stores.
We are long past the day of mail in orders or web orders for cliptapes on VHS from Wamtec or MPV. As such, people today and their expectations run along the lines of what they will experience from Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu and Ebay. To make matters more complicated, factor in now the ever increasing availability and ease of access of adult oriented entertainment such as Onlyfans, IWantClips, Manyvids and more, I feel people have misplaced expectations of what a single hybrid forum like UMD ran by a single human being can accomplish.
Of course none of the things mentioned above excuses shitty behavior but it does present a paradox of sorts when a new generation of clientele who are used to the "have it now in 5 minutes or less" culture meets with a fetish where some, if not most of the handful of models/producers have lives outside of this niche and kinda want to spend that time with their families or doing other things. I am SO sorry this happened to you. I posted about a week ago about a troll I had! The thing is-this is our fun, so assholes need to stop trying to ruin it. You are an amazing model, not only in your quality, but also in your passion, and your time is worth probably more than you charge. I am not sure why certain people feel as if they could post negative commentary without any type of backlash. I do not mind constructive criticism, someone left a comment about filming angles and I have since updated, no problem! But to be outright a fucking idiot to a person, nahhh not gonna fly! MM has been an angel! Supporting the fetish community and making us feel safe to express ourselves! Thank you for bringing this to light-step out of the shadows assholes and face your mistake to not repeat this behavior!

If they were a danger to others, I certainly would call them out, but this was just minor encounters of annoyance. I was actually thinking about your thread about your troll when this guy acted out, I wondered if this is the same person because he mentioned someone else here and that made it obvious he was rude to other people here too. These people are definitely the minority, and don't influence how I feel about this community, I'm not easily swayed by these kinds of people. I just want them to learn and understand so they hopefully change their behavior for the better

Nah, you're doing it right. I simply mentioned "name and shame" as an illustration of my frustration because you are not the only model who has encountered this behavior and to be honest, it's getting old. Hell, even I have encountered it and there is just no reason for it. None at all.
That being said, hand it to MM and see what he shakes loose. Perhaps a simple warning will suffice or depending on the level offense, suspension or banning. In any event, as much as I find their behavior detestable, I loath mob mentality just as much.

Fair enough, I understand that. My point more so was that if they aren't ashamed of how they treat you via DM, then they must not be that ashamed to be outed, either. At any rate, your reasoning for not sharing who they are isn't so much out of any pity for them as it is to not stoke the fire any further than necessary.

I've seen more and more of this type of behavior and entitlement too. It does seem to be getting worse. Instagram has always been the worst offender for me but UMD has been creeping up with the asshats recently. Sorry you have to deal with this stuff. I know some people above mentioned generational differences being a culprit, but from what I've seen and heard, some of the older members are among the worst offenders when it comes to entitlement and a lack of boundaries.

I don't think it's inherently a generational issue, but for the people arguing that it is (especially that this is unique and new to younger people somehow) that attitude is not only prominent amongst older men but also passed down to the younger generation. That mentality toward women is perpetuated, not something people just "have." It's not as simple as me saying "older people are this way, younger people aren't," it's more me saying that if you're looking at the younger generation to place blame, you still have to look at the older people, too.

This infortunately is definitely part of the issue. I always used to believe that if you explained things to people clearly and in detail, they'd learn, understand, and moderate their behaviour. Sadly I've learned that isn't the case and some people will be obnoxious and oppressive no matter how much you explain to them that it's not helpful.

I dopn't think its generational at all, it's entirely down to how someone thinks of women in general, and that cuts right across the generations.
When I send someone a message, I expect that they'll reply in their own good time, when is convenient to them and they feel like putting the effort in to reply. And that might be five minutes, or five months, later. They don't owe me anything, and I've no right or reason to demand an instant response.

It's not as simple as me saying "older people are this way, younger people aren't," it's more me saying that if you're looking at the younger generation to place blame, you still have to look at the older people, too.
I honestly don't think this a who to blame or what to blame scenario. I think this is a simple "don't be a fucking wall to wall asshole" scenario.
Have some empathy. Don't be a dick. Show some grace and all that.
If you message someone, take in account that you are probably not the sole message in their inbox. They might have kids, or a family or a husband. They might be on vacation. They might be at work. In any event, they will get to you when they get to you. Or they won't and guess what? That's ok, too! The fate of the world isn't relying on whether your message gets answered or not.
