OK so in a previous video, Walking The Plank revealed his Pie Recipe.
It's was a very easy recipe, but what can we use in the UK instead of guarana (south america beverage) and where can uou buy emulsifier... the other ingedient? Sugar. That's Easy!
A hint - If don't have guarana, it could be any other soda. A hint, if you don't have guarana, it could be any other soda. I tried with Sprite and the result was bery good. In a video on YouTube the girl who makes the "fake chantilly" replied some comments saying could use another sodas.
I put around 250 ml (250 g) of soda drink plus 250 of sugar and a tablespoon of emulsifier and dye. Whisked for around 5 minutes and voila!! around 1,5 L of colorful fluff!!!

Pie recipe aside, and with my knowledge of Spanish such that this video basically to me was a nice lady talking about her blender...am I the only one looking at the wiring in the background and thinking socket hanging off two wire, plugged into what looks like a cooker is kinda quirky from a safety perspective!
Is there any other emulsifiers out there for sale? I did some research and google says eggs? Is that a viable option? Anyone ever try making this cream with this recipe? Pics and vids of the mess it makes?

Intrigued by this recipe. Might be more exciting than if The Colonel revealed his 11 herbs and spices!
Bit of a silly question to add - what type of colouring is needed to give the pies that striking colour? I'd assume food colouring or paint - is it added before or after the mixing?

I've just tried this recipe with 250ml of cola, 250g of sugar and a tablespoon of emulsifier and it came out more of a liquid than a cream. Would make a decent slime but no good for pies.
Would it work if I used less cola/more sugar and emulsifier?

The soda needs to be really cold. Everything needs to be chilled. It's like all the recipes for homemade cool whip - it starts to become more hassle than it's worth.

But what did you use for the emulsifier???
I used the 1kg paste that moho linked in an earlier thread. Apparently it has to be in a paste form for it to work?
Will try it a few more times - once with everything in the fridge for a few days, once with that powder that Trouso linked and once with half the amount of soda. It is a bit of a hassle to make but think it will be worth it if it comes off...
