Currently in planning for some session ideas and wanted to go back where I'm sure starts for plenty of us is NHP & the roadshow.
Just now I'm after a general idea of your favourite gungings that happened over the years and also the ones that got away.
For me in terms of favourite gungings looking at all the usual candidates of Charlotte, Carol Vorderman, Jenny Hull. While Ulrika and Edwina were great gungings too along with Jilly & Lynn, what the first 2 lacked was total coverage, while the other 2 had the foam overload problem which nullified the gunge coverage as it were.
In terms of ones that got away or wish they happened for one reason or another Ellen Jameson but can see with the times why she didn't. Jenny Powell, then also Jenny Hull when she had her gotcha, the outfit on that occasion would have got us all racing back in the day with a gunging.
There are possibly ample others I'm missing out that deserve some attention, I'm just mainly curious for now, before I commit to buying any outfits and possibly reenactment them.
Some of these people were not active in their decision to participate in the show. Whilst celebrities, for example, have a contract with a broadcaster about its use, those who were pranked do not. To 'recreate' a scene they had no part in consenting to in a highly sexualised way is, in my view, ethically questionable.

Re-creating a scene is probably more ethically 'healthy' than any other option.
We have no legitimate license to share the original media. We often presume a sort of de-facto 'public domain' status with these clips as they have no apparent commercial value to the owners often implied only by the respective owners' failure to take steps to enforce their copyright - this is mistaken for tacit approval.
Nicola Stapleton is the main one in the frustrating category for me. The lack of aftershot for one, but also because just a moment before the gunge falls on her, she for some reason decides to look up! Could have been glorious.
I forgot about the frustrating ones. Top would have to be Ulrika Jonsson - it all goes in her hair, with barely any on her face. Same thing with Sue Lawley.
Other decent ones I forgot to mention: Gloria Hunniford and Lynn Faulds Wood.

Fully aware of this, but for me it's the outfits they wore and then the Gunge on top. I'd not be filming anyway and I'd just take photos to post up here if I do go ahead with the sessions. I think Reenactments can be a delicate topic for a number of reasons.
The most delightfully ceremonious were the decades gunging and the technicolor gunging. If only Ulrika or Nicola Stapleton had been subjected to those.
Both a favourite and slightly frustrating one is the lady on Roadshow on the space themed episode, I think her name is Paula. She appears to be wearing a PVC costume/catsuit which is the ultimate outfit for me. Its a bit of a shame the gunge plops on her rather than pours, however coverage is still quite good. I wish there were more NHP gungings with PVC or leather outfits being worn.
