Good afternoon

I am planning a trip with a friend for an afternoon out to get wet and messy, We are looking either in Kent near Gillingham or on the River Severn near Bristol or Weston Super Mare
We both have wellies, waders & rainwear to wear and just want to get each other muddy and then clean off
We are looking at doing it in Mid April and need suggestion for the best place to go
Any Ideas please

Isle of grain has some nice mud, and a fantastic bit of history in the estuary too. Google isle of grain battery.

I go to the Uphill end of Weston Super Mare beach, a river to wash off or the incoming tide. Time it right for tides.

Right here is somewhere I used to go play when I lived in the UK. Park at the end of a nearby street and cycle / walk there. River to clean up. Always had the place to myself. Thick tidal mud

You could try the Conyer mud flats in Kent near Sittingbourne or anywear on the swale estury

I found a place on UMD from someone else near Portishead, in between Portishead and Avonmouth. You walk the path north of the Portbury Wharf reserve and at some point you turn north towards the water. You have to walk through several 100 feet of high grass, which means there's a very low chance you'll be spotted from the path. I got a little stuck there though, so be careful!
