I don't get it. I find this kind of thing dumb and kind of fake. Just because you think you're a performance artist, doesn't make you a performance artist. Shock Value is hard to come by in the modern world, but this doesn't even come close. What's the appeal? I really don't see it.

I wasn't talking about her getting messy in this music vid. I was referring to her life in general. She went from being a role model for tweens on Disney to doing whatever it takes to get media attention, including dressing and acting like a slut in public. It's her life, but I just don't think Billy "Some Gave All" Ray likes her public persona. And it's not good for all the girls trying to imitate her.
Most of the ladies on here don't do the "sex" side of WAM out in public. They do it here, and some may do it in some clubs not open to minors. They're not throwing it in the faces of kids.

In the context of your question, I wouldn't say either is particularly pride-enducing for parents, but I suspect her dad is more likely to have noticed her antics than any dads of models on UMD.

I would classify this site, and quite possibly, the entire internet, as "open" to minors - there is absolutely nothing stopping a minor from perusing every bit of this material and the associated sites. And are there not a thousand crawling under-agers reading this post? Almost certainly. Just like the materials on this site, it's the responsibility of the parent to censor what and how the kid has access - just like with Miley's material. No difference.
