They're also doubling down on Heavy Metal Guy. I predict he doesn't go pie-free for the entire duration of his show tenure. (Which looks to be extensive, as he checks all the CM boxes: Stupid hair, stupid clowning, stupid when answering questions...)
Some other schmuck (probably a twin, hard to tell) also gets double pied.

Clue me in...what was the lawsuit about, cos how can they just change the name of the show and re-boot the same concept under a new name,,,,and get away with it. You can't just copy a concept and relaunch it under a new name....well I guess under Brazilian law you can. You can parody another persons gameshow as you are famous for doing, and Leon does very good parodies with his parody series of YCDTONTV,,,,because parody is protected free speech. But you can;t outright copy an old gameshow because this new Brazilian show is not a parody...it is a pure copy of the former show.
I guess we should all be grateful that it is not possible for somebody to copyright pie throwing or pies in the face, cos if that were copyrighted then it would be like the copyrighted song "Happy Birthday to Me"...which rarely gets sung on tv these days....cos to use that song on any tv show you have to pay a fee to the copyright holder.
I guess all gunge tank producers should be grateful to Peter Cook and Dudley Moore....who basically invented the concept of The Gunge Tank way back in 1965....and did not copyright it....because they were the first to use a Gunge Tank in their 1965 tv series "Not Only But Also"........
In a nutshell... One of the original producers apparently left the show, but was angry that his "original concept" (long boring talk show with guests no one cares about) had been supplanted by hot young Brazilians pieing each other. So after a year, I guess he owned the rights to the name "Chega Mais" and some other things... So he filed a lawsuit and pulled the plug.
Since he hated the "games and pies" aspect anyway, the current producers decided to just reboot the show following that concept. I'm not sure of the legal aspects... Maybe Original Producer can launch Chega Mais again as the boring talk show he always envisioned?
Watched live, pie for Nadia, whilst good seen her get it better many times. Only other good pie (out of very few) was pigtail girl. I turned it off to watch a better clip 14 minutes before the end (it was that bad).
Alas that, for the final pie, the highly attractive woman who was due to receive it instead remained clean due to one of the idiot twins pieing himself instead. And really well at that. A microcosm of tonight's episode i.e., a bit rubbish
** Today's episode was the worst pie segment since mid-November.
** The RedeTV! web site is massively screwed up. The clips of today's episode play another television program. Perhaps it will be fixed in a few hours.
** Pig tail girl was Karol Vasconcelos. She appeared on a few of the early episodes of Chega Mais. A true beauty, it's a damn shame that she escaped barely messed.
** When the idiot twin pied himself it was the exclamation point on a truly awful episode. I wish someone had handed him a brick instead.
I know the latest episode wasn't great (well, pretty terrible for female mess) but the pigtailed girl getting pied was a huge bonus for me at least.
