What's your setup? Are you just a basic Mr. Coffee person or do you get fancy with the beans? I use a Hario V60 and self roasted beans. Sometimes an Aeropress, but I'm just learning that one.
Gevalia brand - Columbia medium roast. It comes in bags, which are bullshit, so when I open a new one, I dump it in an old Safeway brand coffee can with the plastic lid.
Been using Hamilton Beach Brew Stations for a dozen years. No pot. The coffee gets put into a reservoir in the machine and you pour it by putting the cup up against a bar in the front, pretty much like a soda machine.
On road trips, it's whatever they sell at 7-11. With coffee, it's not about the journey. It's about the destination - a reasonable caffeine buzz.
I have an ordinary coffee maker but I do grind my own coffee beans - I think it tastes fresher. I generally go for dark or medium roast but I try different kinds. (There is a local chain called Peet's but I think they might distribute nationally now.) At work, I usually drink whatever is there, but I'm not a huge fan of the Keurig machines.

Peet's is national, but I've never tried them. Grinding beans definitely does help it to be fresher. As soon as you grind the bean they begin to oxidize, and more surface area means staler quicker.

Have you considered an airtight jar to keep your grounds? That might keep your coffee fresher longer.

The steel coffee can with the plastic lid is about as airtight as you can get I buy the 1 lb bags, so they don't stick around long. I do own a coffee grinder btw, but I have never used it for coffee. It's for making slime.
I've got into the Monsooned Malabar coffee from India recently from a local roaster, absolulutely love it! Home set up is a Ransio Silvia espresso maker, and at work, it's either a standard filter machine or cafatiere.
