Despite efforts (particularly in Bill's case), no one has been able to take over their work, and most of it is now lost. The "Splosh Forum" still continues, but doesn't seem to attract the postings and support which it had under Bill's reign. :-S
I'd assume the Splosh forum is quiet because few people know of it's resurrection. When the site went down after Bill's passing I assumed it was all over. I only found the forum had been moved to a new host and restored probably a few weeks ago and that was by chance.
I'll give an upcoming producer a couple tips. Don't use bbw's or models with face tattoos. It doesn't matter how great your pies look. That shit don't sell.

Lack of feedback can itself be taken as feedback. If you want to appeal to more of us, then try looking at the difference between your models and that of any other producer. Apologies to be blunt, but men are drawn to attractive females. Smiles, clean/soft hair and a touch of makeup do a lot more than facial piercings and latex.

Different things appeal to different people. And I know from the membership figures and UMD sales stats (arguably the only popularity measures that actually matter) that some of those scenes are really popular. But it's not just me - there's a thread from one of the UMD's most popular and well known solo female producers, been up 20 days, had two and a half thousand views, yet the thread has only 5 hearts and even the most popular picture only 28 - despite over 430 views of the enlarged pic. And that's a full nude scene, of a pretty smiling girl with shampoo-advert-perfect hair. You'd think more people would click the hearts there.
AS others hers have noted: the "market" is over-saturated...There are 100 times more video choices (compared to say, 1998, when I introduced my Tabitha video)...whether downloads or dvds (no one buys these anymore except people living near the Arctic)...some producers here do make a decent amount of money (actual profit) because they have found a formula that works (with slight variations), they do it VERY WELL, and have developed a fan base/brand identity that people know.
This may contradict what one commenter posted: he asked a question about producers "making the same old thing" time and time again (with just a different model)...and then rhetorically asked who was going to buy this stuff?...Well, since this is largely masturbatory material (what I like to call erotica, what a friend calls "spank material"), ask yourself how many times you masturbate to the same fantasy (with some variations)? Point.
Filthy Rich and Angelfan are living proof that one can essentially produce the same thing over and over (yes, some novel/funny scripting in FR's case, but we're talking visual formula), and people will still buy it, in droves...these guys make a healthy profit (just stating facts), as did Neil back in the day (his vids were nearly always the same, far more than FR's stuff, but with different "models").
As for myself, my slapstick vids (limited in number though they were), were all of differently themed content and approach (I hate reinventing the wheel)...they all made my production money back, and five of eight made profit (three of these made a LOT of profit, compared to cost; two of them were SOLO models too)...some of this was due to good timing (with the advent of broadband and quick downloads), and some made this good profit drawn out over a couple of years...But I'd like to think there were other factors in this success (like really pretty models, great wardrobe, good lighting, good coverage/variety and good close ups)...I stopped because I felt like I had exhausted my creative energies/ideas, and my "heart" wasn't in it anymore...
But pretty models and good messy props is no insurance...so, some will go the Valentine Network route: CHARGE A LOT OF MONEY per download...don't get me wrong, their vids are great-looking (with great-looking females), high production value stuff, for sure...but they were coming into a niche market with mucho competitors, so, they made the best videos they could, and charged twice as much as anyone else (a smart business move, at least in the short-medium term; it creates brand rarity and desirability)...they had some $$ to make a good first video, but also, the producer understands this niche audience very well (pretty girls, sexy outfits, great pies, and flimsy but funny set-ups). These VN vids are not as formulaic, they go for more variety of scene types, but there is still a pattern (three pretty girls pieing each other repeatedly with really thick, big pies)...
So, barring copying this approach, if you believe in the value of your work, you've got to stick it out, and LEARN from the pros (the established producers)...eventually, you'll get it right.
