Looking for a bit of advise from some seasoned wammers in regards to cleaning up after getting messy. I've only recently gotten 'messy' for the first time having started to think about WAM more sexually into my teenage years and now I'm in my 20s and an 'adult' with the capacity to go out and get items I can put those thoughts into practice. I played with things like custard, yogurt, rice pudding, etc and it's something I want to start treating myself to more often. Of course it requires cleaning up afterwards, erasing the evidence so to speak, and thats not really an issue but what I'm finding troublesome is getting rid of the smell, a sort of sour smell, from my body, the room I've gotten messy in, and my clothes. Those that practice frequently/have done it before what do you find works in getting rid of the smell? Or is it just one of those things that you can't really help? Any help would be appreciated!
We use custard a lot - we did six new two-girl shoots with it Fri/Sat this weekend - the main trick to getting rid of the after-smell is lots, and lots, and lots of washing, both of the girls, and their clothes.
Our scenes are usually followed by the girls hosing each other down, and washing each other's hair, still fully clothed, on camera. This washes the majority of the custard off girls and outfits, and then the shampooing - I literally tell them to use tonnes of shampoo, a big bottle of Treseme will be gone after just five or six shoots, so all that flowing down helps get it off clothes and skin too.
In a domestic setting, get in the shower still wearing your custard clothes and then have a very long shower (like half an hour with the water at maximum) and use an absolute ton of good quality shampoo, and really wash thoroughly, everywhere. Strip off half way through the shower, but after the first shampooing, dump the clothes in a bucket or waterproof trug.
When you put the clothes in the washing machine, for the first wash, use double the usual amount of detergent, and use a quality brand like Ariel or Persil, not a cheapie supermarket own-brand. Do one wash with no spin, at 40 degrees. Then turn the spin back on, and do a second full wash and spin, again with double the usual detergent load.
Most of the time that will kill the sour dairy smell. Occasionally you find something that just refuses to wash out. Best thing then is throw out and replace, it's not worth the hassle of trying to wash the unwashable.
BTW, has anyone heard from Candy lately? Have just realised she's not posted since August. Hoping she's OK.
The link from DungeonMasterOne is a great one, you'll get good pro tips there. I strongly suggest you don't use any dairy products, the chemistry in your nose causes the milk to curdle much quicker than normal and it will stay in your nose for days depending on how much gets in there which makes it seem like it's the room or clothing that smells, but it's actually just your inner nasal passages. But if you're not using a tarp to protect your carpet, or washing your clothes right away, the milk still left in it will sour and it's incredibly hard to wash sour milk smell out of a space. Cool whip is better because it's non dairy and works just as well. And I highly recommend shaving cream. It can cause skin irritation, so you'll have to test it out to see if it works for you. But it's just soap so it smells better and it's the easiest substance to clean and dispose of. It's not as damaging and doesn't stain as easily and wipes away very easily. You should also check out Messy Supplies gunge, it's really great synthetic slime, and it's drain friendly and non-toxic so it's really great to play with
Agree with the advice on avoiding dairy. I interacted with whipped cream pies on a single occasion years ago and just remember it being unpleasant all around (and not in an enjoyable way).
Personally, I would recommend using sugar based substances like choclate/maple syrup, treacle, jams, etc. They wash out easily with warm water, but are still satisfying to use.
If you're specifically looking for something a little more difficult to get out, oil based substances like peanut butter can be very satisfying to use and come out with a liberal application of shampoo or a little dish soap.
Yeah I'd avoid dairy products and just substitute them if necessary. But I'd also recommend gunge, it's easier to clean up, doesn't leave a smell and you get quite a lot of it for what you pay compared to food products. I'd recommend MessyPup gunge, their gunge is amazing

used lots of dairy products, custard rice pudding chocolate custard etc and the smell goes away after a few hours after clean up, creams tend to be more greasy so needs more hot washing from clothes something i have noticed in the last year or so is custard from ambrosia leaving a yellow stain on whites, never used to do that, not sure if its the full fat or light version as i just grab whats there
mixing swiss rolls with custard is a quick and cheap way to make a bulkier mess
