Hate to be the barer of bad news, but it's not even mud. It's chocolate pudding. When they reopened in the new location they posted that mud wrestling would continue but due to restrictions they had to use pudding and could no longer allow any one who wanted to wrestle in the ring.
And even that stopped a couple of years ago, right? At least they stopped posting new Youtube videos (which were always too dark to be much good anyway). That whole thing was a big letdown.
I went to check out the mud wrestling there about 10 years ago. It was pretty bad. And the lighting was so terrible. It was only blue light, you couldn't differentiate between the girls, the mud, or the ring. Everything was blue. It was like watching two restless Smurfs.
As a Vegas local, Gilley's doesn't do this all that often to my knowledge, and yeah, the mud isn't that great anyways. I had a friend that wrestled there once though. I tried to see if she would do a pie video, but she thought the idea of getting hit with a pie was disgusting.

I always see videos like this and think, "Why doesn't some enterprising wam producer recruit the girls to REALLY get messy?" I guess that answers my question.
