Hey folks!
Another batch of vintage clips (SS11-SS13) remastered and expanded now at SlapstickStuff.vidown.com and in the UMD Store! (They should also be streaming in the improved versions as well.)
These were some of the earliest scenes added to the download stores, and for filesize reasons I simply rendered the final edit only... which tended to be about 3-5 minutes usually. But now that, say, 150MB is NOT a large file anymore.... All the unedited footage from the original DVDs has been added back as well! So in most cases you're getting an additional 10-15 min of the shoot as it happened from both angles.

ANYWAY. These three in a row are a fascinating study in contrasts. I distinctly remember that Deana was tricky to reach on the phone, and I almost cancelled the shoot for that reason.... And when she showed up, she apparently had ZERO idea she was getting pied. (To the delight of her friend Casey who'd come along for the heck of it.) Of course, what could've been a disaster would up being the inaugural shoot for our first "iconic" SlapstickStuff model. Deana would go on to film a bunch more epic scenes.... including our very first 2-girl AND 3-girl shoots! (That 2-girl one is coming very soon....)

And so, fresh off snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, I went into my next shoot on top of the world... Just 3 days later! (I don't know where I found the energy back then.) Laurel was my first traveling model... Who'd been in Playboy! And was eager to shoot! And looked like Jennifer Garner in her pics! (This is circa Alias. This was a big thing.) I expected big things. I even wrote a complicated (for the time) Alias parody, and even bought the famous pink wig!
Aaaand.... Laurel had a personality as flat as Kansas, and by the second scene I could tell she wasn't enjoying any of this. And my second camera was having tech issues. (I replaced it a few weeks later.) It was my first time calling a shoot early. Even the Alias parody kinda sucked. To this day, it's still one of my least favorite shoots ever. (I guess it's a blessing that so few shoots went this sideways over the next 18 years?! At the time, it was just deflating.)

And then, a couple weeks later, I got my mojo back. By driving all the way to Atlanta, "borrowing" a second camera from Best Buy to replace the one with tech issues at the 11th hour... and then having a wild-n-fun shoot with Britney (the first of 42 Britneys to come) and her boyfriend (who found the whole thing "super weird" and didn't stick around much longer, apparently).
Britney might be forgotten now, but at the time she was a BIG hit... for good reason. She was probably the most "over the top" model I'd shot at that point, mugging for the camera and improvising lines and basically enjoying the hell out of getting messy. (I don't believe I've met a model, before or since, more excited to get slimed. Apparently she'd missed out during her trip to Universal Studios and REALLY wanted it to happen.) She was also a huge "Jackass" fan... which led to my very first outdoor scene... in the hotel parking lot overlooking the interstate, as the sun was setting. (I cleaned up the footage so it's less dark now, for anyone comparing!)
MAN. Talk about a rush. That might've been the most exciting 3 minutes of my WAM career.... Just me and her reluctant boyfriend, hitting Britney with 15 pies and hoping the cops wouldn't show up! Maybe that's the reason I tend to wax nostalgic about the old days (like now).... Things are definitely "better" now--setup, video quality, mess quality, and maybe models?--but it's impossible to capture the rush of doing something for the first time.

Back then, everything was new and exciting, and I getting it all on (SD) video AND making money off it. What a ride! Thanks for letting me reminisce for a spell! More to come....

I'm one of the people who bought the Britney video (on dvd) and she became my favorite from your first releases. Her excitement and energy really came through. I loved it and she was terrific. She was the model I hoped would help encourage you and that the site would keep going in that fun slapstick direction (it did, hooray!) I hope she has fond memories of her Slapstick Stuff time and I wonder if she ever talks about it with friends.

I can't find this in either store. The post implies they are up (available) now, but are they? Am I missomg something? Please help.

Britney still holds up almost 20 years later!

Rich did you ever apologize for almost breaking Brittney's nose with that first pie in the Jackass parody?

Deanna was and is not only one of my favorite SlapstickStuff models, but one of my favorite WAM models ever.

Although the outdoor Britney scene had a moment where you pied her with a bit too much force, causing her to get a bit upset and say "Don't hit me so hard!!!!". Her second volume was epic too!

In Vidown, just go to slapstickstuff.vidown.com. Clips are in reverse chronological order, so these older ones are on the last few pages.... Start around page 47 and you'll see them all. You can also search by keyword, like "Deana."

With the UMD, I think it's fairly easy to just type "SS11" or whatever into the search bar in my store, and all those clips will pop up! And you can also click on the icon of "Deana" to spot all her scenes. (And you can search by model just like Vidown. Or search for "Latest Scenes" and then go to the last couple pages.)

Well, she had enough fun that she came back a few years later to shoot SS43! Which wasn't a big seller, but I thought it was still great. I think we were friends during those years.... I know she crashed at my place to shoot SS43 and was also training for a triathalon or something then?!?
I lost touch with Britney a loooong time ago though. Most of the models from the SD era are that way. Deana was probably the last one, she married a nice Greek guy and had cute (Greek) babies, but since I've been away from FB I haven't kept up.

Yeah, what can I say? I mentioned what a rush it was. Probably too much adrenalin with that very first hit. I think you can hear me apologizing in the uncut footage... and I'm sure I did later too, but Brit was such a cool chick, she basically shook it off right after it happened!

Real life is weird enough already! I have enough crazy and TRUE stories from the old days that I don't need to embellish anything!

I mean, aside from discovering Toshia working in the checkout line when I was buying 20 tubs of Cool Whip........

That was about the time I realized we were in the midst of a WAM gold rush. So much cool stuff was happening back then.
