Hi Wammers,
Today I shot my very first SlapStick video shoot. I must now admire every producer who does this type of thing. It is a lot of work to put on a production. I couldn't believe how tired I was after I was done. I have learned not to shoot 3 models on the same day!
Anyway, pictured below is a few teaser pics of Diana. She was SO much fun to work with. Best part, she already wants to do it again. I haven't had much time yet to make any Gifs, but I will post some in a few days. Meanwhile here are two pics of Diana. First pic is her first ever pie in the face. The last pic was what she looked liked at the end of the first scene!!

LOL Jinxguy1000. Yes, I believe your right. She told me after the shoot that she would love to do this at least once a month!!
So........Attention Los Angeles WAM producers, I have a willing model to get messy again as much as you want to mess her up. She has already promised me that she will come back and do a bikini shoot with me in June.

Yeah, I have tried to tell people for years it's a LOT of work.
It's a "product." And like any other product, In that product's "creation" you generally have to a lot of things that didn't initially come to mind. In this case you're just talking here about the "production" element...i.e...the set up...the clean up...getting the model..shooting the model...making sure "the set" looks ok etc. The endless details can drive you nuts.
You know what many producers talk about when they talk about wam videos? Their knees...their backs...etc.
I learned to DESPISE stirring ANYTHING.
But you took a step that many others never take in ANY field....the creation of something.
Big kudos for simply taking the risk.

It's a "product." And like any other product, In that product's "creation" you generally have to a lot of things that didn't initially come to mind. In this case you're just talking here about the "production" element...i.e...the set up...the clean up...getting the model..shooting the model...making sure "the set" looks ok etc. The endless details can drive you nuts.
You know what many producers talk about when they talk about wam videos? Their knees...their backs...etc.
I learned to DESPISE stirring ANYTHING.
But you took a step that many others never take in ANY field....the creation of something.

Thanks Robby, I appreciate your comments and agree. No one that has not actually paid for, and or put on a WAM production, has no idea how much work it is. My reward was getting to pie those beautiful models. I guess for now, that's good enough for me. I have more productions scheduled soon. I was planning on using whip cream, but I could not get it to look right, so I went with thinned out shaving cream. Results where great, but lots of work!
I actually have a funny snipit where Diana did not know it was shaving cream. She licked it off her face and said, "That's good". Needless to say, I had to tell her it was shaving cream. She was referring to the chocolate pudding, and chocolate syrup that was also mixed in the pie. Good pies takes lots of work. Lesson learned, but worth the work!!Wear A Pie, Don't Eat One!
Here is a Gif of the first ever pie in the face from a pie virgin. She's not a pie virgin anymore for sure. Here is Diana getting her first ever pie in the face. She laughed through the entire scene. She truly enjoyed herself. Hopefully, you will enjoy this Gif. I will have full video soon. Please note, she did two scens and took a total of 22 pies in the face. We are currently talking about a May shoot. Let me know what you think of her.

Let me be among the first to say--fantastic work! Diana is lovely, and the fact that she's obviously having a ball getting a pie in the face is a huge plus!

Ah yes, the washing but more importantly getting all the wrinkles out of the green screen. Note the Gif below. It would have looked a whole lot more realistic if I would have ironed out all the wrinkles. Lesson learned!!

Thank you Ken! You know that means a lot to me as I follow your work very closely. I have tried to take what I like from each of the producers that I follow, and incorporate it into my work. There will never be any water in my scenes, except for maybe Seltzer water, as its funny. I will eventually do slime scenes, just because I have already been asked that. My problem with slime is that I don't have a reliable receipe for that yet. Will continue to try.
I already see some mistakes I made in my first shoot, but I have another shoot scheduled for the 26th. I expect that one to go smoother, and be less hectic, and more enjoyable. Wait till you see the models I have lined up for this one!!!!

As I've told people for years, it's always WAY more work that it seems, both before, and after, and DURING... the filming itself. That said, if the model is good and the shoot is going well, it doesn't FEEL like work, ya know?
The best feeling in the world is wrapping up the final scene, and feeling "tired but adrenalized" as you prepare to run the many (many) loads of laundry.
(BTW I wouldn't sweat the wrinkles on your green screen too much. "Backdrop" is one of those things we producers sweat over but customers don't seem to care about. Ask Ken for proof!!

Thank you for the comments! Also, thank you for answering all my questions, and advice that you gave me. I REALLY appreciate it! I have been wanting to do this kinda thing for awhile now and never knew how to get started, or perhaps was afraid to. Putting the add in for a SlapStick model kinda sealed the deal as I had my first booked model within 24 hours of the add. WOW!! That was the easy part.

I humbly......and not so humbly...disagree. (Not that Rich and I haven't argued about this before)
Now, is it a PRIOIRTY? No. But it comes up within a specific area of WAM viewers context about things they like and don't like in videos. Many viewers want a "willing suspension of disbelief" in their videos..ie.....yes, they know they have purchased a WAM video but don't want to be reminded of it.
It's under the same category as..."don't show me all the pies on the floor", "don't show the person holding the bucket over the model's head" categories.
Like most WAM videos, it's an element that is important to some and not important to others.

Yep, I tend to agree with you only because I care about those types of things. My biggest challenge with this first production was myself. I should not have scheduled so many models the same day. My time management was my biggest enemy for sure. I have learned a lot for sure. I don't want to deliberately put out a video that I am not 100% happy with. I know what I like, and what I don't like, and I just hope that I can produce a finished product that viewers will appreciate most of the time. Appreciate your comments!!

Yup! There are several I use but no green screen yet. The YCDTOTI series was my dream set of all time. If I only had the budget for an elaborate set like theirs.....

Thank you for your comments. Yes, lots of stress. Most of it was from being behind schedule most of the day. Had no idea how much time it was going to take me to setup the scene. The fun part was obviously pieing the models, and I was forturnate enought to get 3 great models. I have learned a lot and I shoot again in two weeks. I'm thinking that the 2nd time will be a lot more fun, and a lot less stress. Fingers crossed!!!
