Last sunday I was walking with my daughter in the woods. She's with the Dutch nature watch, a organisation that provides opportunitees for kids to go into the woods and forests to discover nature and to get them involved with protecting and understanding climate change and to see he beauty of being outdoors.
So We're always the first to go on a hike. It's always 4 to 5 miles long and you got a list of questions you need to solve. What tree is this, name a bird who nests here, these type of questions. We love to starts early, you don't walk in the heard and we can talk. It's quality time, to do something with my daughter who is 12, to be a father and just to have a good time with her.
So we were walking , solving questions and looking were we have to go and suddenly it hits me. Beside having quality time with her, I'm also checking the woods for nice , quite secluded spots. Where there are no people. Looking were there is lots of mud or where there is lots of moss growing. So I'm scanning for places to Wam. So subconscious I'm busy with my wamming and lifestyle.
Am I the onely one who is doing this? Is this strange??? I've thinking about sunday a lot. That's why I've desided o post this and to write it off my chest.
Wow you live somewhere very beautiful ! Sounds like a great Daddy/daughter thing to do to me. It's natural your mind would wander if you see a spot that will suit your needs. Your not involving your daughter at all so I see no problem! We do the same thing when out with our boy, see a great location, mentally note it, and carry on!
