Just spotted a review of the new film "Diary of a Wimpy Kid - The Long Haul" in the paper, and it describes:
"...a 'gunge-tastic' roll call of splatter gags based on the liberal application of mud, seagull poop and hair products, mostly to the faces of long-suffering mom and pop, played by Alicia Silverstone and Tom Everett Scott".
Has anyone seen it and can comment on how messy (or not) she gets?
(This is obviously a children's film, so if anyone does have any stills the usual restrictions about editing out the kids would apply.)

Thanks for the info. I'm sure the movie is dreck, but if Alicia Silverstone gets decently messy then I don't care!
As Bill Bryson once wrote in reply to a reviewer who was critical of the script in a Jackie Chan film, "the appeal of Jackie Chan movies does not lie in the quality of the discourse."
Huh. She actually does look like someone's mom. This is quite distressing. Last I remember, she was 19 and starring in Clueless (I'm not a big follower of the pop culture).
