As you probably know I'm a self-proclaimed advocate of Splosh, and from time to time. Put up Splosh! Related posts to keep this era alive. You will have seen that when describing the amazing girls that were part of Splosh, many of them were also models for other outlets as well, namely top shelf, adult material, but some were just models in general, (yes Louise L'Amour/ Hodges did appear on knitting magazine covers).
This got me thinking, (it does happen). When you look at the genre of WAM, it seems that glamour/adult models like to have a go. If you look at Splosh-a-girl, this featured Gilly Sampson, Mouse, as well as Charley Atwell and Danielle Maye plus others. Then you have Messy Angel, porn stars Jess West, along with Frankie Babe, Danielle Maye (again), Beth Bennett and Charlie Monaco and again others.
Then we have Glamour Gunge with Sasha Caine, Holly Maguire, Leah Francis, Holly Gibbons, Gemma Massey, Emma Green, and a whole team of beauties, not that the other sites mentioned weren't great too, but I always liked GlamourGunge (re named Girls Get Gunged). The Blindfold Guess the Mess games, the bathtubs of gunge, and the sheer volume of mess was amazing.
Other sites also feature models/adult performers too, Chloe Toy, Lauren Louise, Lottii Rose, Zoe Grey, to name but a few.
So it seems, WAM attracts a lovely model. The question is why.
Now of course, from my point of view as a person that loves WAM, I get it. But what makes a model/adult entertainer, think yeah I'll get covered in sloppy mess, custard pies and gunge. Is it purely money.
It would be interesting, to see what the producers, who manage to get these models think. Are the models up for it straight away, or is there a lot of arm-twisting to agree. Do they actually get what WAM really is, or is it just money signs and an additional fetish they can add to their model CV.
This brings me back. I miss Glamour Gunge/Girls Get Gunged dearly. Wish they would've at least left the stores open for their old content I would love to have some of those videos. Some absolutely beautiful models and beautiful mess.
I loved Glamour Gunge. Glad I managed to purchase the media I liked at the time.
(I appreciate these curated posts of yours, LeRex, and the effort you put into them, BTW.)
In part answer to your final question, I believe they (Glamour Gunge) were an established glamour photographer so they had the connections and credibility that are a necessary part of securing popular models, in addition to any financial incentives. It was also quite a long time ago and the territory has changed more recently with the emergence of platforms that give models the agency to produce and monetise their own content. But it's still sometimes a bit of a positive for the performer not to have to organise a messy shoot themselves. Especially in WAM where having a producer means a model is saved the often complex and arduous work of - well, production set up and cleaning (aside from washing off themselves) and can concentrate on the performance.
There is no overall formula, of course, and the likelihood of a successful model (or anybody) being interested in doing a bit of WAM is really down to an individual's personality, preferences and - whims.
With the exercise of a little respect -and charm - in the right place and time, very little persuasion is needed.
But if, a) the connections are there, a proposition is b) credible as far as the model is concerned (and, well, interesting and potentially fun) plus, c) the price is also right (but this is not always the clincher) you'd be well on the way. Models are only human, after all!
Thank you yet again for sharing, LeRex. Your archive remains a source of wonder, and Glamour Gunge is truly one of the great lost sites of all time. Completely agreed about Sasha Cane too, one of the happiest and most enthusiastic models ever to WAM!
One question... This girl, has a definite look of Tiffany Jade from the old Gungegirls empire - is it the same model a year or so on? I think so, but can't quite make out from the photos.
Love this! Glanourgunge was one of the first sites I discovered. There were at many good shoots, as demonstrated by your pictures (Thanks LeRex!). I've been trying to look for the pictures of the shoots Holly Muldoon did for them, think it was only two or three though, but loved those! Candace as well was a favourite!
Glamour Gunge models were 10/10. I also think the models reactions were amazing because it was most likely the first time they've experienced a gunging.
They also had great bra's. Something I've come to appreciate more and more in content.

Thanks! And damnit! I can't believe I missed that at the time, I'd have been after her Glamour Gunge scenes like a shot after her Gungegirls work. Ah well, can't win 'em all...
A few extras below from a trawl of old UMD posts, perhaps showing a certain Candice bias. There was a great set of Eva and Carmen taking turns in a pillory as well if memory serves.
I wish I could do this, I really do. I've certainly got the money to pay models...but I don't have the talent for photography or even setting up a proper area to do a decent messy shoot in. I don't even know how to reach out to girls, it'd feel weird "Yea...can I pay you to get tons of goopy slime dumped over your head, and let me film and photograph it?" The thought of having the conversation weirds me out and I feel like it'd weird out a model too...but who knows...maybe someday I'll figure it out and give it a proper go...
Totally loved Glamour Gunge. Beautiful models, plenty of gunge, and often a good spot of knickerfilling. Still got a few sets but always wanted more. Fond memories indeed!
