"I am here to inform you all I've had a major stroke, nearly died."

Its been a while since i last posted here and please bare im typing one handed currently, among the past 6 weeks I've lived the worst days of my life your about to learn of.
in late may January I sufferd a stroke and it nearly took my life, at first i noticed in the mirror that something numbness had showed up, one eye was big and one was smaller i realized. i then i called my girl that i think I'm having a. She came in sayinh "oh your dramatic your not anything wrong" then she saw my face and saw my eyes "HOLY SHIT YOU ARE GET IN THE CAR NOW". Shortly we got the hospital i collapse to the ground and fell into a coma, then heart stopped, rehabilitee efforts managed to restart my heart after my time out and Frum there i remained out for 2 weeks before they brought slowly for a reboot., it indeed was now over 2 weeks later since it happened, family also converged from all direction, some flew in and out while i wasin the coma, some did stayed until they brought out.. during the first week there there was no guarante i was going to live but thankfully my body pulled through.
Now due to this not gonna try to go throug much longet right now again im trying 1 handed currently, but i will say this, i will be bacb bext year after the a long recovery and in vegas and this next time, i wont be alone this next, my girl is coming and we might be married bt then and speaking of, wedding was postponed a long ways back, but our will time will cime too.
i wanted you all im glad to be alive, especially those of youve i met last met last year you too Derek im glad im still alive to see you again someday too,.
Ill be in touch with you all here from now more pften, ill type soon but this is exhausing for me to type all.

Had a minor one myself last year, never recovered, now I am on blood thinners for the rest of my life!

Very sorry to hear this, but so glad you pulled through and wishing you as speedy a recovery as possible.
I know it may not feel that way some days during your recovery, but as someone who works in emergency medicine, I can honestly say that this is akin to winning the lottery!
Try to stay positive during your recovery and rehab, I know it can be tough. Remember, any day you wake up is a good day

My father had one ten years ago, it was severe and we thought we were going to lose him. We were very lucky that he made a mostly physical recovery. Mentally, he's never entirely been the same.
Keep retraining your faculties. Your body as well as your mind. Reading and writing can go a LONG way into your recovery. Keep at it. I'm wishing you all the best.

glad to hear from you all here and thank you all for the support it means a lot, last time typing here I was all over the place. I'm now having some success typing on the right hand again. I'm moving quickly, everything else is fully moving. Also could be driving within 2 weeks again too, but sadly my gotta leave the fun car in the garage no stick shift yet so i'll just rumble the truck now.
anyways got relatives staying here some are waking up so gotta get off they know nothing about this obviously so i better go back to the normal shit they see.
