I struggled a bit to find a proper title for this post by but let me explain!
I love to host games, get people messy and potentially have myself in the cross fire for some revenge haha however there is one issue that has prevented me really stepping up and running events on this site, I prefer to play with girls/women and let's be honest, it's a male dominated playing field in the games forum
One of the reasons I believe this is is because when members of the female sex post publicly they tend to worry about being sent a lot of messages and being overwhelmed on this site, certainly I've heard a lot of stories like this sadly
I'm wondering then, if I was to start a game where players identities weren't revealed, would I end up with more girls playing? Or for that matter more people playing who are shy to post on the forums?
So this is my first idea, however if girls want to suggest other factors that would make joining games more fun for them I'm happy to incorporate ideas
It would be nice to have something fun going where people feel free to enter without worry of exposure!

Wow! 37 votes in less than 24 hours, this tells me that in general people will play games more often if everything is anonymous, however its mainly guys who have voted and I've had no PM's from members, this tells me that although this approach may be popular, it would t really attract more girls to get messy through games here
I was wondering why being anonymous would make any difference, as I didn't consider the issues women would face here. That's my fault - I'm not one to behave in that implied fashion, and just assume the rest of the world acts as I do.
It's definitely a male-dominated WAM Games group, which is a shame. I love playing the Messy Hot Potato game, but it would be so much better with involvement from all sexes and genders, and more people uploading their losses (or wins, depending on your perspective!)
I don't know what the solution would be to make all participants feel safer and more secure - and anonymous if required. As ever, there shouldn't be a need for a solution, and it's to the generally male population's shame that one is required.
Honestly it is very sad to hear some of the stories, the girls just get overloaded, have to face the occasional creep and I think struggle to enjoy this site as a result, I've seen several come and go and almost everyone I've talked to has had a hard time, I know it must be a small number of people who cause real problems here and of course there are options to deal with these people but alas it's no perfect world
As for the idea to make the game work
I was thinking players would sign up to a google sheet, they could use any name they want which would stop people being linked to their profiles on here, then there could be any variation on ideas for the games themselves, a lot similar to what is run here, there could be a section for reports as wellI'm just spit balling now, really wanted to gauge the female interest before trying to launch something
