The Insta 360 Evo costs just over £400 in UK. Does 360 or 180 3D there are various demos but it looks good. No messy VR that I've found online but this in Youtube VR shows an actress putting on makeup and gives you a fair idea what a close up face would look like if you were, say, doing a pie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tB62OYMF-bQ
MostWam AL said: I have a 360 camera and have filmed some wetlook clips in 360. Though not 3D dual camera. It gives you the freedom to look around when in a headset and is quite fun. Though for vr filming it's best to have proximity because it makes you feel like you're there. So it interferes with normal filming. Where normally you'd stand 2-3 metres away from a girl to film with normal camera 360/vr you have to stand like 1 away to get the point of view proximity.
The problem is differs headsets use different file formats and aspect ratios etc. So it's not easy to render a file just for one platform. I don't see any pedicures making money from the efforts of wam vr videos because it's to much effort. A lot of producers are still producing media in 720p
Costs are low enough for anyone to producer vr media it's just the time and effort put in to try and film it in a good way to make it worth it for the audience and that takes time away from normal shooting. To film vr and normal media would be a bit more effort. And I don't think there is enough people to want it.
I can look into rendering for oculus files from 360 footage.
So...it could work for a custom then. Give it a few years on file formats. God I remember the hell of the early 2000s and all the damn codecs you needed to play stuff. But now we have VLC
Ive had 2x 360 fly 4k for years were about £600 when i orginally bought them! Ive often pondered this but the question is where would you put it to get the best view? its either has to be hung upside down or looking up to get the footage. And the render is normally further done by the site you upload it to from the past stuff ive done when i had it in cars. I mean it may have changed recently and things may have got better but its still a tricky one i think
Was referring to VR vids (180, 360), and not just 3D (although that's possible to do in VR as well).
I watched a few 180 VR porn vids, not really my thing, but the immersion is really good. Like when the chick gets in your face, she really gets in your face, it's as if she was in front of you. I'm guessing they have a camera just above the dude or maybe the dude is wearing a camera during VR filming.
Logistically, you would not be able to get the viewer messy... so that's out.
For 180 VR vids, it may be possible where the viewer gets the perspective of a close-in viewer. That means the viewer watch the WAM video, with the option to look around a bit. May be good for tit-and-tat between 2 models, since now you don't have the "shit... move the camera back to position X" problem, as the viewer can just look at where it is most interesting to him.
It would be really cool if filming a "3D reconstruction" of a scene would be possible. That means you would watch the video in VR, but it would be 3D, in the sense that you could walk around the person getting WAMmed, so the feet people can go down and ogle the feet, the face people like me would like to see the face hits, etc.
