On stores on this site, there are alot of (excellent) picture sets and videos, that have a huge of amounts of slop. Be it multiple cartons/buckets of custard, porridge etc, baths full of gunk, gunge tanks, dozens of pies, or even outdoor mud wallowing.
But to be classed as a WAM session, how much do you need? Does a single pie in face, or one pot of custard count as a wamming?
The answer to that will be very subjective and vary hugely between different people.
In my case, I want to see someone's clothes get totally messy, front and back, every stitch completely drenched, and particularly their skirt or trousers getting it - while from a personal POV I couldn't care less if their face stays clean or not. So to me, someone who gets a pie in the face but otherwise remains clean, isn't even really WAM. But to those for whom pie-in-the-face is the money shot, such a scene, especially of a particularly beautiful recipient, could well be the holy grail.
Considering the single pot of custard, that'll depend on context. Definitely not enough for a video scene, but a while back there was a proposal for a messy walk meetup, where consenting wammers would dress in waterproofs over their chosen wam outfits, pour some gloop into their clothes, and then take a country walk with the chosen gunge slithering and seeping inside their clothes, hidden by the waterproofs. In that case, a single can of custard would probably be plenty, and using too much would just result in it arriving inside someone's boots too soon and making it hard to continue the walk.
I think the answer to that question is very subjective, both in terms of the amount of mess and the general content of the video. For someone like me, with very specific preferences, I can say that "enough" for me is usually is at least a couple inches of accumulation in a bath tub or pool, but for someone new/discovering this fetish, or someone into mild messiness, a couple of pies may be enough. I also think it depends on the content of the video as well. If the video is marketed as a model getting pied, 2-3 might be enough if you're not trying to totally trash said model, but if the video is more about a model spending a longer period of time playing around in the mess, then more is probably better. Just my opinion; like I said, subjective.
If the coverage is good, less can be more. A single, small, well-placed pie of good consistency can be hotter than deluges of gunge if the model hides their face.
Could this be the ultimate question to which the answer is 42?
Personal scene, we can make 500ml of custard go a long way and feel it everywhere we both want to feel it.
For filming, we'll rarely do less than 10L of mess to ensure a decent coverage, if its gunge 40L seems to be our current minimum. Did one unplanned scene with not very much sticky home made marshmallow fluff like slop (baking gone wrong) but it worked because it stuck and spread so well. It really is dependent on situation. However, personally I don't like aiming for bare minimum - excessive is good.

For me the numbers and substances are smaller But for some the more the better I'd say less works best for me
