Dear God no...no more reboots, remakes, or reimaginings. Stop "making better" what already is. With Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, we're already going to have 30 more years of Disney making live action versions and making billions more off of stuff they originally rebooted from public domain 50+ years ago.
There should be a major Hollywood film about an English countess who lives in a remote Jacobean stately home on a county estate warded by walls and ancient magic, high in the Yorkshire Dales, where she and the entire household indulge themselves in messy and wetlook play at every opportunity. They could call it "The Wild Messy Wenches Of Langstonedale Chase", and it would be part messy costume drama with fancy gowns, and part modern life-of-mess in wellies, overalls, and boilersuits.

Amen and rave on Brother! They just mutilated "Dumbo" into a politically correct freak show. Next up a remake of "Song of the South" starring Samuel L. Jackson as Uncle Remus. He leads all the creatures in a slave revolt."Zippidy Doo yo' mutha fuckin' ass!"

You actually think giant corporations that are funding all these movies want artistic, original movies that don't turn a profit??? The second the public decides not to pay money for anymore reboots, or remakes, or sequels.... is the second Hollywood starts making original films again.
But at the moment, why would they EVER stop doing reboots and so on? 18 of the top 20 films of 2018 were remakes or sequels. Disney's Beauty & The Beast remake made $1.2 billion. It's the 15th biggest film of all time. Aladdin is pure shit and it's already made $815 million. Third biggest film of the year.... behind the 18th & 19th Marvel movies of course. (Dumbo is 10th biggest FYI....)

That one I'd actually go see.

I love how Rich Evans references are just popping up everywhere these days, and it's all because Mike Stoklasa enjoys messing with him so much.
