My personal believe is never persuade a model to work with you. First of all, you should never have to beg someone to take your money. But most importantly, a model who needs convincing to shoot will always show in the final product. Even models I've worked with for years, the second they stop returning my texts is the second they become a former model.
That said, there was a model I offered to fly in from Florida, she got COVID the week before the shoot, and we spent about a month rescheduling, including getting new plane tickets and hotel reservations. But she was enthusiastic about it the whole way so it was more of a logistical nightmare than a sell job.
Paid models say yes or no and set their own boundaries beyond that.
It always amused me when I used to share photos years ago and commenters so often asked "how do you GET her to do this?"
I've never had to (or wanted to!) 'persuade' any partner - they either wholeheartedly offer to get involved - or very quickly express their non-interest.
I understand this was meant to be a fun/lighthearted question. But in the end, I haven't had anyone get messy that didn't want to. It's just not a good vibe.
Have never attempted to persuade anyone, always just laid out exactly what it is, what's involved, that we supply all the outfits, and what we pay. People either say yes or no, and we're looking for an enthusiastic yes.
