I know that used to be one of the recipes on some TV shows. I've been doing a few customs lately and considering trying it for the next one, but I have no idea what the consistency will end up like. I'm thinking of mixing with oatmeal and gluten-free flour, maybe?
I think it would be safer to use oatmeal if you want a lumpy consistency. You definitely don't want to be splashing dairy products around your house, as they will quickly turn sour and stink up the place. No matter how careful you are, there will be splashing.

Yep, exactly this. If you want "the lumps" use oatmeal. I have also used applesauce which doesn't give you lumps but does give an interesting consistency.
