It's come to my attention that someone is using Twitter to harass and impersonate veteran WAM producers The Splat Show on Twitter, who have contributed a huge amount to the WAM community over the years. It's not the first time they've had to deal with stuff like this and they really don't deserve it. The fake account is @SplatHQ and it's clearly someone with a nasty personal vendetta against the site owner Pete. Please can everyone who has a Twitter account report the fake account for impersonation? All you have to do is go to www.twitter.com/SplatHQ then click on Report, then click on "They're pretending to be someone else", then when asked which legitimate user they're impersonating, enter "@thesplatshow".

I love Splat HQ and have been buying your videos for years! Which isn't to say I've agreed with every decision, but hey, that's not something to get upset about.

I don't think you should worry for another second about the troll / parody / satire Twitter account. It's obviously not your professional account, it has next to no followers, and acknowledging it publicly is a mistake, I think.

Really it should be seen as a great form of flattery that someone out there is interested enough to write this stuff.

Any dealings/communication I've had with the. Splat! guys they have been lovely, nice people.

I don't pretend to know much about social media but I did gave some pretty shitty things written about me online in my 'non gungy' real life a few years back and it really did me in mentally.

This is a great example of why Twitter has to move to accounts with ID proof before that person can post. This moron should be exposed like the other morons who post vile racist / sexist / homophobic shit and get away with it. It will happen one day and the sooner the better.

They're doing well - 4 followers in nearly a year. Hopefully they will be taken down before they reach the big 5.

If you stop replying to them then they'll get bored and find something else to do with their time.

If you continue giving them attention then you should expect them to keep going. You've written a blog post that's nearly 1,000 words long and you say that James is going to be writing his own rebuttal to them, they're not going to care what you or James have to say so for your own good please stop.
