I have a few natrosol stains on my bedroom carpet. They're not extremely noticeable, but could end up jeopardising me out of receiving my deposit back.
Does anyone know how I might go about removing them? Water and soap? Carpet cleaner?
It is probable that this issue has arisen before, so it will suffice to point me in the direction of a thread.
According to the site at the bottom, natrosol is soluble in water-ethanol solutions (up to 60%) and glycerol. Sounds like glycerol may be a different challenge to remove (and possibly hazardous to work with) but should be more soluble in something like dish soap than the natrosol.
The ethonol solution would be super easy to try though! Go get yourself some strong vodka (100 proof) or water down some grain alcohol and give it a try. You can also usually rent a carpet cleaner from larger grocery stores which may help if/when the stuff dissolves in the liquor.
