For anyone thinking of trying gunge in a refillable fire extinguisher, I'm happy to report that we successfully used thicker gunge! We are in the USA and buy our gunge from SplatterEmporium.com. Our initial test was done with their standard thickness gunge. That worked so well that we decided to try their thicker offerings. The teal gunge in the pics below is their thick gunge, and the purple is their ultra thick; both worked well
