I know this has been discussed in the past. I'd love to learn how to create more of these... can any of you offer tips? Best software to use? How to refine language to achieve more realistic wam scenses... etc. Also, how to create the matching before and after shots....I'd appreciate any advice.
Below are examples of others' work I've been impressed by.

Since you are using some of my images as samples, let me just give you some directions on where to start. Bing designer is pretty goo at creating matching before and after shots. I used it for the first image. Apart from that take a look into the AI Wam group on the UMD (https://umd.net/groups/group/ai-wam), you will find a lot of advice and prompt samples there. I assume the mods will move this thread into the group as well.

Note (to everyone as I've seen this come up a few times) things are only moved from forums to groups if the original author requests it, doing so otherwise is specifically forbidden in the moderator guidelines.
And as this post is pertinent to WAM, albeit simulated WAM, it's on-topic for the Messy forum, so is fine where it is unless the author wants it moving.
The suggestion to check out the AI WAM group for more information is a good one though.
Everyone in the AI group will tell you to use Bing. I was not a believer at first. Then I played around with it more and wow just wow. Best part is once you get a dream prompt that works just keep using it and enjoy the unpredictable results!
Would you mind giving some examples of commands, phrasing you used to create a before image and then a matching after image? I have not been able to get anything close.
