While heels can look good with the right outfit, they're only suitable where the ground the model has to walk on is flat and even. Pool, shower, bathtub, or even natural outdoors if there's a concrete or tarmac slipway, road, or path for her to walk into the water on, heels are fine.
But one of the most disappointing scenes I ever bought was due to a producer instructing a model to wade through a shallow harbour, with an uneven rocky bottom, in heels. The poor girl spends the entire scene desperately trying to avoid breaking her ankles on the uneven seabed, which means neither she nor we can enjoy it. Had the producer given her trainers to wear so she could step with confidence while soaking her outfit, it would have been a much, much better scene.
Wet shoes have almost no interest for me but the wrong shoes bother me. The girl is wearing a sexy party dress or formal and wearing sneakers? No no no.

Not going to name names but a certain producer that is no longer here but had the bulk of the maxi dress scenes on here had them worn with tights and heels.
I get that it's for the sexiness factor, but I've seen a maxi dress worn with heels once and it was some mom blogger who had to wear heeled sandals with hers because she was 5'0 and otherwise they would have a train on her.
