I think for a lot of people is it's not necessarily about what the model looks like (or think they look like) but that they are enjoying themselves jumping in, diving in, rolling in, having poured over them or being hit with the substance.

Sure, some like the humiliation aspect (fake or real) but I'd much rather have a "girl next door" type model (such as your gf) enjoying themselves getting messy than a 'supermodel' who's obviously hating every minute but thinking only of the money they'll get at the end of it.

You can easily tell fake smiles and body language - and tell whether it's doing anything for them or not.
