My German isn't the greatest and I think I've got the gist of the scene but would appreciate any additions.
Two women answer questions as they make their way above a slime bath. The platforms beneath them could give way but a correct answer makes them safe.
As far as mess goes, you frustratingly don't see too much which is a shame because the slime looks really well done. The build up and other factors however, are fantastic. The host has a great sense of how to build tension and looks of victory and/or defeat from the contestants as they progress reflect that. Once a winner is found, the game doesn't end and instead has to search for something in the slime while the host is incredibly unhelpful and there's something distinctly German about the half-hearted apologies offered to the loser. The resignation of the loser to the rules is definitely humiliating but not cruel which is rare to find.
I also understand this show has had other messier moments too but I haven't really looked.
To be precise, the have to answer a question picking one of two choices. If they get it right the host told them which of the two choices (heads or arrow) is safe, if not they have to pick themselves. The person who loses is actually allowed to pick if they go in the slime voluntarily or not, in order to find money that is hidden therein.
There's a really excellent shot of the drop, where the losing contestant is dropped into the slime - it appears to be a controlled drop - the platform she's on goes down quite quickly but not quite in free-fall, and as she'd turned to face away from the camera there's a great "legs and bum going into the slime" shot, though as soon as she hits the bottom it almost instantly cuts to a headshot of the winner (who's unable to watch as her erstwhile competitor takes her dipping).
By mainstream gunge standards that's an absolute stone cold classic.
I wonder if there are any more videos of people playing this particular game, and if any of them are in higher definition? I gather the show ran from 95 to 97, which matches what I remember of other clips from messy games from it appearing on various forums around the turn of the century. Never seen this particular game before though - I wonder how often they used it?

That's fascinating that she chose to go in which makes her reluctance and obvious frustration at the end even better.

I would imagine they've used this set up again. There's a couple of clips of a soup bowl dunking so it wouldn't be out of the question to repeat games. Searching for it difficult though because it appears there were only 11 episodes and there was some controversy over the forfeits. (At least what I can gather from the German Wikipedia article)
For a game show based around gunge, everything in that clip was so serious! You'd think the loser was going to be sentenced to death at the end or something.
