Some years ago German actress Eva Habermann, about 40 years old, was invited to a hotel/spa-awards event where she was going to hold a laudation for one of the winning companies. The event took place at a hotels indoor-pool-location with all the guests sitting around the big pool and and the stage placed at one end over the water. Mrs Habermann arrived in a turquoise designers evening gown, her hair and make-up done, wearing some jewellery and having a small handbag with her. She was sitting on the opposite side of the stage and when it was her turn to go to the stage and hold her speach she decided to do it not the way it was planned. Leaving just her handbag and her shoes behind Mrs. Habermann took the shortest way and moved just straight into the water at the shallow side of the pool and crossed it completely, first more wading, then more swimming - all in her posh evening attire! - Just for the fun of it!!! At least she succeeded to save her hair and her makeup on her way through the water. The Hostess of the show helped her out of the pool at the other side to get finally onto the stage. Mrs. Habermann hold the whole laudation in a soaking wet, heavy, darkened, now "very close fitting" and also no more very comfortable to wear evening-gown. In the end she had to spent the rest of the show sitting in the audience in a hotels bathrobe over her fully drenched designer-outfit.
