I'm not posting this to complain AT ALL but to maybe point out a few things so that we can all coexist here more harmoniously considering that is the point of UMD... right?
Since we have this new way of interacting in the forums I ask that people pay particular attention to the fact that you have to select what gender classification your post is about...... and stick to it? I know things are monitored and corrected but it seems that more is slipping past these monitors. I am also aware of choosing your gender classification preference on the forum page while viewing and have selected MY preferred gender but still find boobies in my feed. FURTHERMORE I understand that it could be as simple as flagging but I have one better than a flag......
Perhaps we could all pay more attention?
Otherwise you end up with people like myself who prefer to only see one specific gender seeing the opposite. For instance the gay male community here likely does not care to see female bodied people, gay females don't want to see male bodied people, and straight people likely don't want to see gay stuff. This is a turn off and it is indeed making me personally want to be active on the forums way less.
I LOVE that we are including trans and coed in the selection because there are some that have preferences revolving around transgender posts as well...
I don't know what the actual disconnect is whether it is the aforementioned or if there's a bug (though I doubt it) or if its just that most people don't care?? I don't know but I am asking on behalf of those in particular that are interested in only seeing a specific gender classification that we pay more attention to what is being posted and how we are posting it?? Please????
I am not saying that this new way sucks because it doesn't at all but I think it has more potential than we are experiencing. I think the idea behind it was to allow those with more specific gender classification preferences to choose what they are viewing and THAT is definable by me as utter courtesy from the site creators.
This surely is a controversial topic discussion but I am open to it. Something changed and change no matter the perspective is in and of itself a controversy.
Love you all.. stay messy no matter who you are and who you like to see messy!!!!! :splat:
I'm gay and am totally fine with seeing occasional women in the forum and in co-ed wam posts, even though my setting is set to Male. Co-ed falls under both male and female. Obviously I'm not aroused by female nudity but if you're a gay man, it should just be a neutral rather than provoking an "ew, boobies!" reaction. Straight men have to see male parts in heterosexual porn all the time.
What I like about the new system is that threads on general topics relevant to all wammers, gay or straight, show up to everyone in the Messy forum, allowing everyone to contribute. If that means I as a gay man see users' avatars with naked women, it doesn't bother me in the slightest. Women have breasts. And ultimately we're one community. Even when the forums were segregated, female nudity still showed up in all the site's ads anyway.

Thanks!!! I had to make sure to put this in a delicate, generalized, good for all to see fashion.. glad to see it landed that way.
I hope you drum up something seriously messy to show your appreciation.....

Thanks for sharing your opinions!! Its good to see veritable responses as it will help to resolve the initial statement.
I guess it would be one thing if it was still occasional but its increasing which is not longer occasional. I also just want to be clear that I am not expressing an 'ew boobies' mentality nor am I meaning to imply I hate women in any way.. again please don't think that this is an 'I hate women' post because its NOT at all and I cannot stress that enough. There is just no sexual attachment to them for ME and several others and its ok if someone does have said attachment or any variation of such even if it is neutral. Imagining the tables turning and this coming from a female bodied person.. I think the point is still the same..... it FEELS like though you are implying that I should just force myself to be ok with it just because.. when I would never ask anyone to force themselves to do anything that might not be their personal preference..... when I go on pornhub I don't search the straight section for gay porn......
I'm a gay male, sure, but I'm a queer male bodied individual.... for me that means in part gender appropriation has no real place in my life.. as I type with nail polish on........ that being said I was meaning for it to be along the lines of 'that's not what I want to see' and 'let's be more considerate of each other because the site creators were considerate enough to give us that opportunity' and since the forum change female body presence is increasing in male body preferred locations. I have no issues with nudity male, female, trans, or whatever you may be and spend much of my summer on nude beaches with my queer people male female and trans alike so of course life will bring you boobies ALL THE TIME...... HOORAY FOR BOOBIES!!! But as I said I was just pointing out that paying a bit more attention seems to be in line for us ALL here so that everyone can continue to enjoy the site as they would like to. Which again is what I think the partial intention of the gender classification selection was.
But again thank you for sharing your opinions because it only coincides with what I was saying initially about everyone having individual preferences and that I feel like people are not allowing the newness its full potential by skipping over things or not selecting the right section....
