A fundraising campaign aimed at raising 9 million euros was launched on Tuesday, December 17, by the Charente-Maritime Departmental Council to restore Fort Boyard, weakened by the Atlantic Ocean.
The legendary building is in danger.
Fort Boyard is in poor condition, weakened by the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. To save it, the Charente-Maritime Departmental Council, in partnership with the Fondation du Patrimoine, launched a fundraising campaign on Tuesday, December 17.
Nine million euros to restore Fort Boyard
The goal: to raise 9 million euros to restore the building . The total cost of the work is 36.6 million euros , half of which is covered by the Department. The work will begin in the summer of 2025 and be completed in 2028.
Been a fan of Fort Boyard since the 90s. It's been my mainstream mud wrestling sweet tooth forever. It's good that they take good care of the building. Not sure if it means a full stop of video production during that period.
