For me, awkward and stressful. For them, a job. But very professional from all sides.
I was fortunate since the guy I was renting the studio from recommended them to me and I actually showed up to shoot right as they finished doing some wrestling content for him. So they were already ready and in the mode to shoot weird kink content that day. I explained what they were going to be doing for the shoot--probably very cringily since I had been rehearsing it like a speech in my head for a few days prior--and they took it from there with little confusion. Quite an uneventful first shoot in retrospect.
First timers will definitely benefit from hiring experienced models in the niche you shoot (fetish in this case, not specifically WAM). There will be plenty of time down the line to shoot first-timers, friends, and non-professional recruits when you become comfortable and confident in what you're doing. But when you're starting you need talent on the other side who are just as experienced as you are inexperienced.

My experience was awesome? one of the best of my life. I was super nervous obviously but this particular model couldn't have been sweeter. We had talked on the phone and agreed to meet first at a restaurant and get lunch. Conversation was great and she even made a point to tell our server what we had planned after lunch (boy was I embarrassed).
This model taught me so much about setting up the room and the all important lesson of folding down the sharp edges of the pie tins. We had agreed to use some beans and at her request put them in the microwave to warm them up. We were done with the session when all the sudden she yelled "The beans!" She happily trooped to the little kitchen area to retrieve them and took like a pro!
Back when Layla was around and touring I managed to book a shoot with her. There were several hiccups along the way (we had to reschedule like 4 times due to issues with her travel and health). Finally got a date set in stone. I was super nervous but her and her boyfriend who was shooting were great and had me totally relaxed. We went over what we were gonna do and we had an absolute blast. It was the first time I had ever truly gotten messy with someone. She was a total pro and was funny as hell.
