That's five times, by my count, that Julia the smiley blonde has got an absolute face-full; I feel she's been kind of under the radar in terms of appreciation for the Chega Mais hotties...but she's pretty darn hot in her own right, no? Hell...I'm thinking, she may even be the hottest! And is not shy about getting plastered, either. Good girl!

Yeah, she's taken WAY more than 5 pies over the years... When she started, she was dumb as a post and missed almost every single question. Got pied consistently for about 2 months. (The "triple pieing" on her birthday is one of the great moments of this show.)

Then, about a couple months back, she must've bitched to the producers. Because overnight, she became a Rhodes scholar when it comes to answering pie questions. Hence my nickname, "Flowers For Julia." This is probably the first good pieing she's taken in forever, but go back to May/June/July and you'll find some great stuff.

Hey now c'mon that's not true...she's clearly a bright girl! A (cough) scholarly air, I'd say. And besides which, I'm totally in love with her so I'll not hear a bad word said! She may even have superseded your very own Meghan (the reluctant pirate) in my WAM affections...and I love me some Megan!

Haha... No, she's good, but I preferred her when she was getting pied fairly often. Now her and Barb seem to compete to see who can destroy their competition the most by staying absolutely clean, which gets.... frustrating after a while.

Oh, by the way, Chega Mais scored a solid 1.1 rating (up from .6 last week). I guess I was wrong about the episode being a dud.

I just finished my own HD edit (ran a little over 5 minutes) and, while you know how I love the objective and completely fair way Chega Mais handles their pie competition (ahem).... I thought a few stats would be interesting:

--Guys wound up "winning" 51-45... But they were up 36-24 before the pies. So they basically lost the pie round 15-21.
--Very few balloons for both sides (I thought girls got more)? 3 for girls, 4 for guys. That drops the "true" pie totals back to 12-17.
--My own personal tastes, although hair WAM fans might differ: None of the 3 female balloons did anything, and one of those "pies" was a "pie hard hat," which I feel is absolutely worthless: No facial coverage, and what hair coverage there is gets covered by said hat. And because the guys don't "duck" the balloons, 3 of their 4 wound up being some kind of facial coverage... In fact, one guy held his face up to the balloon and basically got a full-blown "slime facial" better than some of the pies (for both sides). But to be official, let's still say 12-17.
--Guys got all five (!!) pie punishments, so the true total: 12-22 in favor of girls.

On one hand... It's a rare show with female pieings in the double digits, and this one counts, barely. (11 without the pie hard hat) I'd also say 3/4 were solid, with several (Nadia, Julia, brown-skinned girl, and Token's girl) being A-level.

On the other hand... 22 pies for the guys is close to some kind of record, and the way the show manipulated on both sides (many punishments early on when the guys were ahead, then having them miss most of the questions on the back half to make the game "exciting") felt like overkill.

Final over-analytic thoughts: In the one game in recent memory where the men absolutely dominated (Jan 3), the ENTIRE pie round ran... 12 minutes.
This was clearly a game where the men were made to lose, and lose BIG, and it ran... 42 (!!) minutes.

At one point, I cut out an entire section of nothing but male mess that was longer (17 minutes) than the ENTIRE pie game from Jan. 3 (12 min). Because Chega.

Chega Mais has started throwing pies in the first block of the episode (Bloco 1).

The horse selects a man and woman to dance in competition and throws a pie in the face of the person he deems the loser.

The men have received all 5 of the pies in Bloco 1.

Last Sunday Dani danced against Scary Bearded Guy.

Scary Bearded Guy took five (individual) pies on Sunday. That must be some sort of record.

Eh, months back I randomly noticed they plucked a guy and a girl from the audience in Bloco 1, and one of them (the guy, obviously) got pied for some reason.

Clearly they've now found a new way to pie a male cast member before the show starts. Progress.

As for poor, sad, ridiculous Scary Beardy....
I've noticed several women who get well-pied in one of their first appearances... Never return. That includes the hot blonde who took one of the all-time great pieings from Token. She hasn't been back since. ANYWAY... It makes me think that Scary Beardy is probably a one-and-done. He certainly felt like the "sacrificial lamb" basically dropped into the show to take Barb's wrath over her horror (HORROR!) at being pied twice (TWICE!!!!) last game. (And one of them actually made it into the show!!)

Funny how the show didn't cut away from any of Scary Beardy's 5 separate pieings. Or how Barb didn't seem to complain about the gross inequality of the situation after she pied the guy for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th times. Hmmm.

I really wish the producers would turn one of the guys into Male Barb. (The twins seem pretty close to it.) Not that I want a guy to be the same kind of raging diva, but it would be all sorts of awesome if, say, Dumber got super mad about getting a couple pies (you know, like he does every show)... And then the following week some new random hottie would have to go up against him and take pie after pie as he became Einstein for that week.
