Recently, someone complained because there were some new videos done where the model did not get her face or hair messy, though the rest of her was totally trashed.
I've seen just the opposite in scenes, where the camera is fixated on the model's face and hair, but nothing much below the shoulders. To make matters more frustrating, I saw one where the description said the model was nude, yet only showed the head and shoulders as she was pied and slimed.
I've even seen scenes where all you see are the shoes getting trashed, with nothing above the knee being in the video. But I think that's a more of an extreme case.
So my question is this: Are you a fan of head-only messings, mainly body messings, or both?

The face is the most important thing to get messy. I like nudity with my slapstick, so if the girl is dressed, I really have no interest in her skirt, shoes or blouse getting messed. I mean, gravity will take care of that as far as I'm concerned. If we are talking about mud, head to toe is my preference for sure
One of the most frustrating things in this fetish is coming across a good looking scene, perfect substances that check all my boxes, but the face and hair remains squeaky clean.
While I want the entire person in the shot (so not head cut off scenes), for me the important bit is seeing their clothes, and particularly from the waist-down, lower trunk, crotch, bottom, and legs, getting messy.
I don't mind if the head and face get messy, but other than in very specific types of scenes where it's natural for the head to go first - gunge tank, pies-in-the-face, or someone having their outfit wrecked by means of a messy shampoo - I prefer if their head and face stays clean to start with, so you can see their reactions as the rest of them is messed up, and the head coverage is saved for last. The girls in our multi-person scenes tend to like doing it that way too, as they can savour what they are doing to each other while still being able to see clearly.
From a sensory POV, the head is very sensitive. So once stuff has been poured over someone's head, they won't really feel it anywhere else because the head-sensations are so overwhelming. Leave them clean up top and gunge their body instead, and they'll feel the body sensations much more. Then do their head at the end as the coup-de-grace.
I like both, but for the sake of being different, I'll really add that I like scenes and scenarios where someone is completely mess from the neck down but their hair and face are still perfectly intact.
Probably because I like immersion so much, like the vats and dunk tanks etc. That said, the opposite where only the head and face gets messy, but body and clothes are left alone, doesn't really do anything for me. Probably why strictly speaking, facials don't necessarily do much for me.
Face & hair are definitely most important to me, but when when a model's tits or ass get covered too its a huge turn on for me. Even if she's fully clothed and the mess runs down her top...I love that.
I'm really only seeing models getting their hair messy and their facial reactions, so an tight shot of just the head and all the hair is all I really need to see. I'm not really a fan of the camera deviating away from the face and hair, takes away from the scene for me. I used to edit videos to get rid of the cut away camera motions, but I'm too lazy now.
For me, the best part of WAM has always been above the shoulders, Clothes can add to it, but it's the face, that expresses the reactions of shock, surprise, indignation, humiliation etc. Even when the face is covered with pie and crust, you can see the emotions underneath, through body language, a mouth wide open in disbelief, etc.
Just trying to understand better. In my mind, messing up the body would cause similar reactions of shock, etc. Half-melted ice-cream dumped down a top would certainly cause some strong facial reactions, but the shoulders-on-up group don't seem to want this. To me, it's not just humiliating a face and head, but also the rest of the person. Lastly, you say you only need to see from the shoulders up, yet you mention 'body language', so does this mean you do like to see some of the body? Again, I'm only trying to understand so I can better know how the thinking goes in those who enjoy wam a bit differently than I.
A few things about scenes with no face coverage, if a model has a large following and they're not all wammers, then they might be getting requests to see their face clean when they get messy. A LOT of my non-wam followers beg me to stop covering my face when I get messy because they really get off to my face and they hate not seeing it when I'm doing this. The scenes where a model is advertised as naked but only shot from the shoulders up, it might be that the model never did nude before or never did adult content before and after doing the scene get nervous and decide they don't want to be naked on film. Other producers might have a tiered subscription site where the more explicit content is available for extra money as well.
That being said, I can get off to most WAM scenarios, really, but I do prefer that the face get messy above all else. I love seeing full body coverage, and I do love seeing the entire body even if they only take pies to the face. There's something about seeing just the face covered and an almost clean body that turns me on. The face is for sure the single most important act of the fetish for me because I'm really more into the humiliation play than the actual mess itself, so I love all types of substances as long as there's face coverage. It's the opposite of that, that I don't get anything from. If the face is clean, I'm not getting aroused. It's kind of a pet peeve of mine when really hot sexy models on social media who don't really get messy and aren't really into getting messy advertise that they're doing a cake sitting for their birthday, and only sit in the cake and smear it around their ass cheeks and nothing else. If they masturbate, I can get down to that, but if not, I absolutely get the female equivalent of a limp dick for it. I get that it's a hard boundary for some models to humiliate themselves in that way, but I can't enjoy it no matter how sexy the woman if she doesn't cover her face.
I couldn't care less about the face, only about the body/clothes, and I'm going to contradict myself here.
If it's in pictures, I like whatever they're wearing to be 100% covered/wet, although I did find a picture of some model in a dress and jacket who was dry from the shoulders up but soaked from that point down and that was hot.
I have an incredibly active imagination, however, and it's the opposite with that. Back when I wanted stuff to do it to but didn't want to go on here (was still wrestling with whether or not I was into this stuff), I found some wedding photographer's site that had a paragraph at the bottom about how, when taking engagement pics in a canoe for a couple, they had to get in to get a photo from a certain angle and got their maxi dress wet. I'm fully assuming that they were wearing something like this:
There was this one scene I really liked years ago where the storyline was that the lady was in one shoulder gown and was getting repeatedly pied in the face by her SO for making them late to an event. Always wondered why the dress was covered and it never occurred to me that once you get pied enough the stuff starts to just slide down you.
Also in terms of body stuff, I've seen scenes in the past where it's like "so-so was on their way to date with SO when X happened and next thing you know they're soaking wet or just got a bunch of pies and multiple buckets of slime thrown on them." Gotta get that follow up. Did they go home and change clothes or did they show up to their date dripping wet/covered in goo?
If I'm totally honest, I'm only into a scene if they get wet/messy with clothes on. Nothing like watching a long dress get messy/soaked. Speaking of which, there's a post where the model goes for a swim in a pink maxi dress but I'm pretty sure she takes it off in the pool.
I'm actually very surprised by the poll results. I have always been aware that most wam fans want to see the model's face get messy, but this group is the largest one by a landslide!
There are just a very small minority who don't need to see a messy face, so long as the body or clothing is messed up nicely. I had thought it might be half and half, but I was WAY wrong!
I'm most definitely in the minority here. There's been more than one occasion where the facial expression on the person getting wammed has taken me completely out of the mood.

I'm with you on this. If the model looks annoyed, bored, disgusted, or otherwise looking like she wished she was anywhere but in the video, it's a definite no for me. I like expressiveness, and though I mentioned 'disgusted' in the first line, the feigned disgusted look can be fun if it's part of a bit of acting. But you can tell if a model just stands there looking unhappy and it's such a turn-off.
To me, the best facial reactions include feelings like: 'Did this just happen', 'god, that's cold', 'now what?' and 'Payback will be mine', perhaps with a knowing smile, as her brain takes in what just happened as she realizes she is now a complete mess.

I just found a YouTube video of a guy getting his sister with a foam house when she comes out in a long dress while he's washing his car. I have no clue whether it's an evening dress or a maxi dress-the title says long party dress but I'm leaning towards the latter-but besides the fact that it has a solid 10-15 seconds of absolutely pristine full body wet coverage, her facial expression is just like did this just happen to me and it's perfect.

I'm with you here but I'm a neck down person. Don't get me wrong slime over the head is amazing and nothing wrong with pie sandwhiches. But definitely clothes is a must at least first. I know many people want to see nude and many can't help but be so turned on that they get nude. Yes head should be the last thing clean then go to town.
